LOL, yeah and I'd post it again, what's your point? He wasn't doing much for us whilst others weren't getting a chance. Tim just seemed to stick with him.

If it wasn't for those early games, he wouldn't be where he is now.

The justification for him playing was because he is a bloody talented player and you were sick of Sherwood's faith in him within what? two weeks?

Sweet.

We were in a bit of trouble were we not? Remember we fired our manager? I'm not sure if it was the best time to be putting faith in a player to the extent of playing him over more senior and experienced players as many times as he did. It was just my feeling at the time.

22nd December
Southampton 2-3 Tottenham (Bentaleb's debut)

26th December
Tottenham 1-1 West Brom (Bentaleb comes on for the last 25 mins)

29th December
Tottenham 3-0 Stoke (Bentaleb unused sub)

1 January
Man Utd 1-2 Tottenham (Bentaleb comes on for the last 25 mins)

4 January

Arsenal 2-0 Tottenham (Bentaleb starts)

We weren't in trouble and Bentaleb showed good promise in his cameos. You were basically sick of him after his first start, away at our rivals.

I may have been a little harsh now that I think about it, now that you've gone ahead and presented me with that evidence which shows me that we weren't in as much trouble as I thought we were in. (Smart Arse) However, I was probably pissed off after that Arsenal loss and Sherwood only made one sub and I felt Capoue should have got a chance and Nabil off. Not to mention, the draw at home to West Brom. I thought Nabil was lucky to have gone on instead of others.

oh ffs.. stop bickering

Bentaleb = awesome for 20 years old and I hope he really goes on to emulate his hero.. he models himself on Zidane btw and I think he has the potential to get there ..

I'm sure he'll become a very good player, but he is no Zidane. He can't glide past opponents like his hero did nor does he have that shooting ability of Zidane.

The kid is a machine, would be suited to a more box to box role, he really reminds me of Vidal when he played in Germany.

Or do a Han Solo and get frozen in carbonite by Sam Allardice...

Or a Lando Calrissian - being originally a decent guy, but (having been blinded by wealth and ambition) selling out to very evil (though in fairness, well structured and effective) bureaucracy lead by someone who can fire lightning out of his hands, only to ultimately see the error of his ways and become a hero, but not before having to hide in a slug gangsters love dungeon in the middle of a desert (God only knows how he managed to blend in there).

Metaphorically that might alright, but if it happens in practise then I think that would be quite weird

Lets hope he sticks to a more noble Mon Calamari type life - apart from the 'being blown to bits' part

@SpursFansCorner: No player made more passes than Nabil Bentaleb today, with 87. Fabregas made the most passes for Chelsea today, with 55.

@SpursFansCorner: Nabil Bentaleb had 101 touches today, more than any other player on the pitch.

Its either him or mason against better teams. Not both. I personally think nabil is a better and more cultured player than ryan.
