I have as of last week cancelled my entire Sky subscription. I can do without it as I have Amazon Prime, Netflix and Now TV on both our main tv and our bedroom tv.

After 30 years of Sky/Sky Sports I believe it is a dinosaur.
Got to say that I feel the same. Streaming is the future. Presumably we can expect more and more apps coming online.

It’s all bullshit innit. Working class families being asked to pay nigh on £1k a year to watch people who earn that in one half of football.

Just seen Leicester fined for conning their fans. I am very quickly falling out of love with this sport.

You have to wonder whether with so many leaving Skysports football its a strong signal they expect to lose the next set of primary rights bids
It should be the case that the Premier League stops selling the rights when the current contract expires.

All I want is a legitimate premier league streaming service tbh. I pay for sky, simply to watch the football and to avoid having to illegally stream and the faffing about.
The minute Sky lost the premier league, tons of people would ditch sky.

Mind boggling that in 2023 we don’t have a premier league service where every game is available.

I’ve cancelled bt sport now. A bit pointless as we aren’t in Europe and although I did enjoy their PL coverage they’ve managed to find a worse host in Laura woods than jake humphries. Quite the achievement.

I find Laura Woods far less smug and irritating than Jake Humphries.

On Talksport she is utterly irritating. Wait until she has digs at us every match and I'm sure you'll change your opinion.
I reckon that’s a TS thing not a LW thing. She’s nearing irritation levels due to being on too many programmes at present but she’s good at what she does to be fair.

Simon Thomas (ex Blue Peter and SSN presenter) is taking over from Jeff Stelling on Soccer Saturday.

Good choice. Been through a hell of a lot in his personal life and was always one of the better presenters on SSN.

It’s been said a thousand times before but why is Neville still being allowed to do anything on tv when they show a Utd game. His ultra boring rant against the Glazers post match was the same old shit yet again.

And Carragher arguing that vvd shouldn’t have been sent off last week, despite everyone else on the panel laughing at him, shows why he needs to stay away from Liverpool games too.

Daniel Sturridge is quite amusing though a bit OTT but let’s hope that’s the last we see of Walcott. He’s been retired a week and they get him on already. Hope he failed the interview.

Honestly, one of the reasons I'm content to live abroad is that I can watch every single Tottenham EPL game, live, for around $A40 pm. Last week I subscribed to BeIn for a week's free trial to watch the Fulham game. I'll do the same for the FA Cup (hopefully I'll need it for more than a week). I genuinely feel bad for you guys in the UK - you seem to be getting whacked from everywhere.

Yeah I kind of agree. Her digs at Spurs are more often made in a humorous way and often in response to Spurs fans calling in and making cocks of themselves. But also she does show her bias too….. But then again if I worked with Jamie O’hara I’d prob wanna get as many digs in as possible.

She is a good presenter though. Very calm and clear. Not the worst looking person in the world either…..

Nah I don’t buy it. She’s one of those “oh I was only joking” people, after saying something mean or horrible. Sly as fuck. Wouldn’t trust her as far as I could throw her.

A lot of her digs at Spurs are off the back of all the practice she had taking shots at Jamie O when she was on the breakfast show. Her, Ali and Gabi Agbonlahor (Who I have to admit is an entertaining guy) used to be ruthless whenever O'Hara was around

Based on last week’s broadcast of our game, I much preferred TNT’s offering to Sky and previously BT. Felt a bit more involved with the match going experience than just shouting about how good the Premier League is.

It just seems that "punditry" has become a 'who can say the most outlandish thing' game. Almost being like an AFTV show.

There is very little high quality analysis anymore, its all over the top comments when a team loses & over the top praise for certain teams winning.

Watching that game yesterday I would have stated:
1 - Neither team took a grip on the game.
2 - Arsenal have problems in their midfield, Havertz is causing them an issue, and what made them good last year was having Xhaka in their working as a box to box '8'. What they have now is Rice having to do an awful lot of work & Odegaard dropping slightly deeper than he did last year which actually nullifies a lot of what he is good at. Apart from his goal, he didn't really get involved in the game.
3 - Odegaard dropping deeper also creates a problem for Saka. Odegaard generally operates from the right of the central 3 which means when he is pushed forward the opposition have to pick him up which creates more space for Saka. Yesterday it was evident that Saka had too much to do, and without any real blistering pace he struggled to get anything out of Dalot. In the end, Saka came more central which is something he isn't used to and not overly good at.
4 - United basically played the game in their own half, with 'maybe' the intention of trying to draw Arsenal out to counter, however this really didn't work and due to the lack of talent in the front 3 they gave the ball away every time they went forward.
5 - United looked better when Hojlund came on, however I don't think their fans will accept that he may be used as a battering ram. I hear they are suffering with injuries but yesterday I would say that they were only without Shaw, Varane and Mount which isn't a massive injury list to be honest.
6 - In conclusion, a draw would have been a fair result. Neither team went for the jugular, and neither team showed any real class during the game. It was relatively low quality and no single player really stood out. I would probably say that they MoTM for me would be Dalot as he kept a very good Saka silent throughout the game.

Her interview last week with Maddison was pretty pathetic if you ask me. There’s being professional, there’s being funny and there’s being a dick. She fell into the latter character and you could tell Maddison wasn’t very impressed.
