No crowd no performance.

Crowd against Everton was brilliant and it's no coincidence that the performance was the same.

Sure the crowd need something to encourage them but it works both ways and it's sad that the players pretty much to a number all mentioned how great the crowd was against Everton (trying positive reinforcement?)

On the match, Kane/Lamela need to get more involved. Dier against Bolaise/Zaha looks very worrying.

Just move the ball a bit quicker 2nd half and the opportunities will come.

But the worst thing about this game is having to listen to Tony fucking Gale. (if it's not his middle name it should be)
Not sure that is fair mate, crowd was singing early, but the team put them to sleep.

I was going to post some derogatory remarks about Tony Gale but I see it's been done already. I think we looked ok. Pretty decent, just a tad tired. Enjoyable first half for me.

It's no good Lennon coming on if he plays like he did against Chelsea.

I'd rather we just started with an actual DM so Eriksen and Lamela could play as real wide forwards. They're both getting stuck short and narrow. They should be making runs on the backline when we have the ball or pressing the fullbacks when we don't. Instead they're in no mans land. Palace are playing 3 in the middle so it's pointless waiting around in the channels initially. Get out wide and then run in off the striker

Kane looks exhausted and was probably the least involved player that first half. He looks very languid out there, which has to be down to fatigue. I would bring him off for Chadli at the half.

The good news is Fazio and Vertonghen are starting to become a real quality CB pairing.
Agree, Kane looks knackered.

No runs or anything from him.

Not his fault, overused

The thing with Lamela is that he anticipates and get well into positions, but then is too flippant and loses it. Saying that he is not as bad as you all make out. I think the problem is more us not playing with the urgency of last week and with the Mason and Bentaleb not stamping their authoirty more in midfield. However, our main problem is Poch replacing Chiiriches and Lennon with Dier and Lamela, that is where most of our problems lie, especially against Bolasi (spelling).

He's still choosing the most difficult option. His own worst enemy still.

Not helping that he's isolated on the right and has no right foot and no RB overlapping for him.

Needs to play #10 if he doesn't have that support out there, or would even be more effective on the left. But on the right of a 4231, on his own with no RB help is not gonna happen.

He will never be played at no 10. He would be best loaned out for a season. Good in the EL but he has never had one single outstanding PL game. Speed and pace of the PL just too much for him.

Flame away.

Come on you Spurs...can do so much better than this, one of the worst 45 minutes of the season.

Just need more pace and urgency, signs it was starting to filter in at the end, so hopefully they come out ready to play.

Would be nice if Roberto could finish one as well, get a run going.

Pace, press, recovery.

He's a must, especially seen as though dier isn't going to support properly down there on the right as he's scared of bolasie doing him.

Lennon simply must come on and give them something to think about when they get forward by giving us more threat on the counter.
Where has this thinking of defenders all of a sudden being scared of Lennon come from?

Only plus is the defensive side

Of course its down to fatigue. He was the first one I would of rotated midweek, said is much in the Chelsea team thread.

There's no way he was going to be up to putting in the same effort - with a third game in six days.

Mason and Bentaleb may tick forward passes well, but we need more from them in the final third if they are going to be the undisputed CM pairing for the foreseeable future. They need to create the odd clear cut chance with through balls and one of them needs to get in the box on occasion. Our CM's have not scored a goal this season, which is a pretty crazy statistic no one talks about. I don't think we can finish in the top 8 without at least 5 goals from them this season, especially since our strikers really aren't that great.

Not a goal, but would have been had the lino not flagged, he wasnt offside either (lmela)
Soldado came back from an offside position to make the one touch pass to Lamela,... it was just a late whistle from the ref seeing the linesman later...

All three of the Kane-Bentaleb-Mason triumvirate look spent, they are still trying but its all a bit flat. Eriksen as well you could add to that.

I think Lamela's done ok. I think game by game he's getting to grips with the pace he has to play at.

Kane needs a rest, Lamela to move to Kane's position and Lennon on the right is the most obvious change to make. The entire team looks very slow and ponderous.

This is the comment from the Yahoo site. Sounds similar to so many home game performances.

45+1'
Tottenham Hotspur 0-0 Crystal Palace. The half is brought to an end and frankly it's none-too-soon. It's been drab from the home side, who look like they would much rather be somewhere else. Crystal Palace have been the better side, with Bolasie and Zaha giving the Spurs defence plenty of headaches.
