Did you folks in the UK get the coverage with Pleat as a commentator? I am sure everyone has their own views about him, but it makes a refreshing change to have someone who actually likes and knows Spurs doing the special comments.

No. What did he say?

"Hairy Coin, Question OilRigSoon and Noser Chattersley have had great games"?
"Danny Rose is a wasp of a ferret of a tortoise of an owl of a player...he has something of the great Brazilians about him like a Shearer or a Drogba...he hits balls like bouncy castles."?

He sure is. At one stage he said he had been talking to Brad Friedel about Harry Kane and Friedel had told him Brad Friedel was the most accurate shooter in the squad in passive and opposed practice sessions. Interesting insight and noce to hear someone saying positive things about the Club for a change, but yes some degree of madman speak translation is required.

His excitement was palpable throughout, he pretty much cheered every goal and panicked when Fazio had his brain snap. The enthusiasm rubbed off on the main commentator so by the second half you were listening to two blokes barracking for a Spurs win. This was on Fox Sports in Australia but it was an official Barclays EPL broadcast so i am surprised it doesnt air in the UK. Maybe it's the international broadcast.

And yes he said Brad Friedel, I was sure he meant Harry Kane but it was 5am here.

It was "The most important thing today is to congratulate my player" "There was a great atmosphere out on the pitch And for our Supporter too"

Chelsea will most likely beat Liverpool in Capital one cup semis and we will most likely win over Sheffield United.

So, 1st March, we could have play final against Chelsea at Wembley.

Till yesterday, I gave us no chance if we play Chelsea at Wembley. But now after this performance there is a very good chance we could repeat the result. But then, even Mourinho would be up to it am sure.

The most satisfying part of the win - we have literally fucked up Mourinho's chances of winning title. This is not just a 3 points lost for them. Psychologically this game should affect Chelsea squad & boost City.

Not that I like both - but I would rather want City win the league than the plastics. City are plastics too, but at least they have some integrity &humility.

Help a brother out: How long does it take BBC to get MOTD on iPlayer?

We don't have it shown over here, but their country block is very easy to circumnav.

We are one. lol

So impressed with the tactical approach by Poch today.

Mourinho was so concerned with Eriksen today that he had Matic doing a job on him, like Venables did with Gazza all those years ago (1991 semi final) Eriksen made Matic look like a poor man's Micheal Thomas, taking Matic away from the centre of the park, leaving the rest of the Spurs team to exploit the Chelsea pensioners at the back.

Fabregas was tactically very poor today and offered no protection to Terry or Cahill but the way it was executed was top notch.

This was no, go out and plays lads, like the Harry era. It was a calculated dismantling of a core strength of Chelsea and exploiting the then exposed weakness.

Tatical genius.

I eventually understood why Rose played, I believe it was in hope to push Hazard back, that didn't really work as Hazard was a constant menace, but was the reason why Rose scored.

I did, in Toronto He was commentator on our Broadcast and I thought the same. However he did a "David Pleat" when at one point he referred to Kane as Brad Friedal!

Agree. Make no early comments and then sit there looking fkin smug afterwards. Very clever.
This forum wouldn't look too good if we all did that would it.
Bit cntish if u ask me.

I think the moral of the story is dont make silly irrational knee-jerk comments in the first place and you won't be called out on it

Are you seriously trying to say a opinion that says playing Rose and Walker is a mistake after their poor display against Leicester is knee-jerk, silly and irrational?
No one on the planet thought we had a cat in hells chance of winning nevermind banging 5 past them.
Now those who never gave an opinion, certainly not a win, are sitting there saying you got it wrong.
Yes I did... and I cant believe that result. Its not like anyone who said they thought we'd lose are pissed off we won is it?
Its about opinions and if you'd like people to keep giving them BEFORE the full time whistle people should stop being a knob jocky when someone inevitability gets it wrong on occasion.
I knew playing that team selection would beat Chelsea and had every confidence in Poch and the team, oh please :finger:

I was very disappointed at the luke warm applause he got when he was subbed. He is our 1st choice on the right and he took a knock again on his ankle. We really need to look after him.

He should have got more recognition last night. However, I think that his failure to live up to his early efforts of last season, especially in light of Kane's progression, have tainted the current view of most fans.
