[Laughs] I used to like Arsenal a lot, but when I moved to Tottenham of course I liked them less - but I really admired Thierry Henry and Patrick Vieira, those kind of players. They were incredible.

Not too bothered, he also said recently that he always checks the premiership scores and hopes we win and Arsenal lose. Given his age, it's hardly surprising he liked them, he'd be a bit odd if grew up in Wales liking Tottenham during that period

He's not a Spurs fan and doesn't play for us anymore, but as Lufti says, he has said recently that he still wants us to win and them to lose these days and I believe him. I wouldn't believe him if he said he always had a dislike for Arsenal, because we already knew he didn't.

I never said he was. But Bale would've been. That said, which club's fans hasn't VDV paid lip service to?

He's a very clever guy, gets the crowd on side and gives them a few quotes every now and again, but he's a whorebag and does it to everyone.

What's it got to do with it? You brought up VDV as if he some how cares more or understands the fans more. I don't see why/how that's the case.

I don't know what you mean about Bale not sharing the passion that others do. He's already said he loves us, wants us to win and Arsenal to lose. I don't see how him saying he used to like Arsenal is going against that?

The heart shaped celebration started off for his Mrs anyway and just became a standard celebration.

For about 6 months after he signed for Madrid, Bale still referred to us as 'we', I don't think you need to get upset over an interview where there's a probably an element of lost in translation.

Rafa was always celebrating like he was made at the club, and spoke about the club in the papers as if he'd been a fan his whole life.

Regardless of honesty, it's what I prefer to see. Yes, maybe Bale was an Arsenal fan, but you wouldn't get Bergkamp admitting to being a spurs fan openly on the radio!

You're making it sound like he's done something wrong! He hasn't said he supports Arsenal now, he's just admitted that once upon a time he used to. You're making way too big a deal out of it dude.
