Good result but disappointing we didn't do much with our extra possession... too much going side ways and not creating chances.

I still cannot believe Mason gets into this team ahead of dembele. I do wish dembele and Bentaleb could be our cm partnership.

The only thing I can think of is that Vlad is faster than Fazio and Vertonghen and he has to foot speed to keep up with Mane/Long/Elia better than the original CB pair.

and Vlad knows the players well and can slot straight in whereas Yedlin is untested and will be unfamiliar with the players in a competitive game.

Adding one more to the shit list.

That's why I doubt anyone would put Ings ahead of a player like Pellé, though. As good as Ings is, I think Pellé is currently better - especially with his aerial ability.

To put things in perspective results wise, we'd have to win our last 4 games to better our point total from last season, which everyone considered a shambles. Without major investment this summer, I just don't see how Pochettino will remotely improve this side. You mix in the likes of Lloris potentially leaving, and we'll be doing well to get 6th and 65 points next season without a very successful transfer strategy.

We were lucky to get a point, I thought Soton edged the 2nd half.

Kane looked like he had lead in his boots.

Dier MOM for me with honorable mentions for Bentaleb and Mason.

Bentaleb was a one-man midfield. Hope it was just a cramp and nothing serious. He must have put in the most mileage of all the outfield players.
