When he says he wants CL, he's actually saying he wants Ciel because he's French and Ciel is French for Heaven.

Heaven is a song by the Psychedelic Furs and the words that follow 'Heaven' in the chorus are 'is the whole of our hearts and'.

'is the whole of our hearts and' is an anagram of 'White Hart Lane Frodo House'.

'White Hart Lane Frodo House' is obviously a reference to the office of our hobbit-sized Chairman.

And so what MS is really saying is that he wants to sign a contract with Levy to play for Spurs.

Or am I clutching at straws, do you think?

Jeez - that was amazing. What do you do for a living mate? I mean that genuinely - to come up with that word play in such a short span of time is extraordinary.

with itk suggesting ings has gone, and berahino is not a target, leaves austin, ayoze perez, chiccarito and perhaps that bloke from bournemouth as decent, affordable and acclimatised strikers. no itk on any of them as i recall, nor on bolasie who could play false 9 or wide, whom id love us to try for...

Sky do have a history of making things up... they seem to own the transfer window and SkyBet where there are markets on players.

Yes but that is fixed by an independent tribunal. We wouldn't be bidding on him we would sign a contract with him and then pay what the tribunal want.

Ings only goes to tribunal if Burnley can't agree a fee for him (normal free agent rules don't apply to U23s). If we go in with an offer, another club has to match that.

Lol as if we're gonna bid £12 m for a player out of contract end of next month, if we have bid I don't believe it's £12M for a second

Let's be honest levy wouldn't wanna pay 12 if he had 5 years on his contract

He's not out of contract per se though because of his age - we'd have to pay at least £5m at tribunal

If this is the player Poch really wants (which I suspect it is), this is just backing him.

What if the only options on the table are Ings at £12m or Benteke at £30m? Paying £12m for Ings is a no-brainer, especially as he's a much better player than Benteke.

And JJ has been spot on more times than I care to remember. We all know things can and often do change but in this instance I choose to go with what he says.
