Things can change very quickly. Let's say that De Gea leaves Man Utd and Man Utd table a large bid for Lloris. And PSG see him as their goalie of the future. They might then place an even better bid with Spurs for Lloris. And we could decide to let him go - if we could get Rabiot as part of the deal. On top of that, does the PSG coach really rate Rabiot?

I'd prefer to keep Lloris, we'd be stronger with Lloris rather than selling him and buying Rabiot

Blanc is actually a big fan of him. The issue for Rabiot was that Blanc's position there was fairly vulnerable. He's in a better state now after his successful season, so Rabiot will probably benefit next season.

The ITK today

Very excited to hear about the heads turned about Yedlin in our mini tour. Very much feel he is a player with incredible physical ability that has never had the proper coaching that fostered more than just utilizing his speed. I think Poch 'n co could do wonders for his mental and technical play, he's always just kind of seemed like a lost puppy to me who needs someone to point him the way home.

Yeah I know that. That's why they moved the window back a day. But doesnt the window normally close at 11pm UK time? They moved that up to 6pm.

There's a thread for this in "General Football". The reasons are explained in the embedded link

I wonder, if like Sandro, he might be moved on because of them.
I don't think injury concerns were the main reason Sandro went. He didn't feature that much in pre-season for Poch, so I don't think he liked him as a player for his system. This is obviously not the case with Walker, who was straight back into the team as soon as he got fit.

So if you were just following ITK you would be led to believe that all of our "targets" in media links are a bunch of bollocks and the only one we're really after is MS, for whom Southampton are holding a ransom.

Got it.

Oh, the summer window.

Walkers injury issues are a real concern.
Real shame as he seems to be a top bloke & he has done a lot of charity work with little negative stuff reported on him. Wish him well if he has to bow out and hope he gets the support he deserves.

Maybe. On the other hand we might get Rabiot, Son and a player such as Begovic to replace Lloris from the money from a Lloris sale. If that's the case then would we be stronger keeping Lloris?

jasper on length of bentalebs current contract and future: 3 years with 1 year option. Club is within their rights. He was happy to sign with review every 12 months. We started earlier and can't agree. Will do eventually. If his advisors felt do undervalued why did they advise him to sign? His Gents spilling loads and getting him to speak to force the club's hands. I personally am not worried.

also, naylor on ftl, anyone remember if hes itk? i seem to vaguely recall some info from him ages ago, anyway he says: Townsend. Hearing he's in talks with villa

Would be just our luck if Townsend moves to Villa, adjusts his shooting boots by a degree or two and then starts banging goals in for Timmy:(

I think Townsend would do well for Villa. He'll have space to work with as they play more traditionally and they'll have other dynamic attackers, even if they don't possess as much quality. He may not be a world-beater, but he could be a very decent winger for them.

I think Townsend will do well for anyone, anywhere... so long as it isn't for us! ;)

I think if Townsend leaves, he will do exceptionally well for his new club, prompting many of the fans to complain about how we sold him, but I still won't regret it. If he had improved this year, I probably would be against the transfer, but he seems to be playing the exact same as last season, if not worse.

Townsend is going to be one of those players, similar to Siggy, where if he goes and gets a good run of form, some are going to wonder why we let him go.

But we have seen enough of him to know he is better off going with Tim. Hope it is true for all three parties.
