What a stupid thing to say! It's fans like you that sadden me, no one is allowed to have an opinion if it criticises the way the club is run. The club that so many of us invest time and money in for years and years.

Why do you lack ambition?
I doubt anyone here would say no to a trophy. But pointing the finger at Levy and co. is just plain stupid (and no I'm not a BSoDL).

Sure they've made some mistakes over the years, but how much has it really cost us? We've managed to achieve a level of consistency, above our financial weight in spite of those mistakes.

I mean just think: We could be Newcastle right about now.

Why would Spurs sign a young exciting player? madness

Also - all our signings in the last year or so have broken via the selling club end. So the fact that this is all coming from Poland is encouraging.

Lech's top ITK has apparently confirmed it's happening

Only for JJ to pour cold water on it.

I seriously don't get the club... we've been linked with some talented players albeit not world beaters, but nevertheless they would offer another dimension to our one trick pony approach week in week out. Some are/were available for free and others for peanuts... yet we've dismissed all of them for one reason or another. It's pretty much nailed on that we'll start next season with the same players who consistently failed to flatter last season.

Our top ITK has confirmed it isn't.

See the Stambouli signing 10 months ago. His name came from nowhere/the French end. ITK all poo poo-ed it. Turned out he'd already been training with us for a couple of days at that point

Track record shows that for the last 1-2 years our ITK has fallen back behind overseas stories and even the British media

No, that's not how it happened. No ITK had even mentioned it, and none of them ruled it out, considering the signing was confirmed about an hour after we were first linked. The stuff about him training with us for a couple of days has been plucked out of thin air. I think you are talking about Davies, not Stambouli.

If you're that pissed off with it then go and support one those teams.

Though this does seem to be your default reply to detractors of the management of the club, pray tell which part of his post is untrue?

I don't agree with what he say's necessarily but i do believe that he has a right to say it. To dismiss his post by saying "go and support one of those teams" really says that you have no justifiable rebuttal to the facts in his post and stoop to belittle as a best option of reply.

Shame that people like you set out to destroy debate one here.

If indeed he even wants to sell. I have it on good authority that Levy doesn't and lets face it, he is 78 and has an estimated wealth of over $4billion. Surely at his age and with his wealth, building the stadium and possibly bringing in the NFL would be more rewarding than to sell and just have the cash in the bank. As someone has already mentioned his family are also having more involvement in the club so perhaps one of them taking over was always the long term plan?

I came across a post on COYS (when searching for something else) from 2012 that was itk that Lewis wanted an NFL club in tottenham then so he's been after it for a while. I'm guessing he's closer now than he's ever been.

I found this informative, posted on SO

niger - latin for black
petra - latin for stone

Blackstone are a huge American alternative investment management firm and the world's largest real estate private equity business, currently #373 in the Fortune 500.

They just this week sold Center Parcs. Perhaps a coincidence, but N M Rothschild acted as advisers to Blackstone for that sale - the same N M Rothschild which is advising THFC on stadium financing.

You got it! :)

Although not the most reliable, Google Translate says that lapis is Latin for stone, while Petra is Latin for rock. So, Black Rock is actually more likely (assuming that the original source has a good command of Latin).

No, you go it!

Davies was a different story, but underlines the same point. That transfer went on in the newspapers for at least 2 weeks, ITK rejecting it on multiple occasions.

From AY reply, I think the deal might be in advance stage. The leak of info might be to bump up the value. From the looks of it, QIA is forefront and hence out of nowhere Niger Petra came out.

Those with privilege to know have a gap order.... In no way AY contact will be truthful esp in M&A nego. Levy might not even know of it until the deal is done. Let's wait and see.... There is always a price.

Lewis with this gain can always buy another club, he is a investor.

I imagine Levy would be clued in on it if there was an actual M&A going on seeing as he holds a 20% or so stake of ENIC. Uncle Joe still has the clout but Levy would know.

If you can believe AY's contact - and he's not lying to keep a very sensitive matter under wraps.

A couple of 'Spam' ratings and a 'Doh'. So far. That may be another indication that Tottenham Hotspur may indeed be up for sale. I've noticed on here that some posters give out these sort of ratings to disparage a point of view that might go contrary to what the Club wants it's fans (and others) to think or what some agents might feel goes against their own and their client's well-being.

Perhaps this is a similar situation.

They may well want to buy it, but if AY says Lewis doesn't want to sell considering who his source is that is as good as case closed for me.

Are you saying that Spurs employ people to rate posts on SC according to what they want to be believed? :troll:
