I can see Ade going to Villa. Liverpool want to get all their business done before they sell Sterling, so expect them to get Benteke in - and then Sherwood can spunk some money on Ade.

If wages are a sticking point, we should drive up the fee and use the excess to supplement his wages at Villa.

I know some are saying the nfl thing is not a game changer and maybe as an isolated factor it may well not be. However the exposure the stadium and thfc get from the collaboration could bring more intriguing possibilities with regard to sponsorship. The little bald fella was incredibly insightful with separate league and cup shirt sponsors. I wouldnt be surprised if he had ideas for seperate football and nfl sponsorship for the stadium.
Factor in the nfl match day income, merchandise and probable tv rights cut we could in reality subsidise a portion of our football related expenditure.
We cant really compare any deal to wembley as they have no football team as such with which to affiliate, especially one whose games would be broadcast in the US

Bang on. Do whatever it takes. Talk about a millstone round our necks.

So tomorrow is the day? But it's budget day and Wimbledon, won't that take some of our headline space :sneaky::whistle:

Absolutely not. Much more exposure if it has one mega name surely?

The only worrying thing about this (in a way) is that he says 'pitch will be fine', which indicates we may not have a sliding pitch but the same pitch will be used for both sports.

NFL pitches seem to be well maintained... it's only sports like rugby where they get trashed. I would be more concerned with the markings as unless there's been a change in the type of paint, that sh*t doesn't seem to wash off.

As much as anything for the 'noise' created - positive vibes. The additional PR if the stadium has the same name for the different codes.

Madmax - I was talking noise in PR styley and agreeing with the post. Not actual 'noise'. If also named the same thing for us and the NFL games ie. Nike stadium or whatever then in terms of worldwide exposure it would be huge surely? Can't see how it received the WTF rating - not worried about it at all, just trying to explain (y)

Imagine, tomorrow morning...

1) Spurs announce long term partnership with the NFL...

2) Spurs are delighted to announce the signing of Toby Alderweireld...

3) Spurs are also delighted to announce the sale of Emmanuel Adebayor.

It'll be a famous day, one we will tell our grandchildren about. Ah, there was this day in July 2015 when... I was straight onto SC and Twitter to register my opinion, it was super. Received loads of RTs and winner ratings.

SpursCommunity ITK's could use an English class. Call it "The Goat's Grammar Gazebo"
Jasper is on COYS. Anywho, if anyone wanted to learn some grammar, SC already has a thread for that. The opposing teams fans thread in Spurs Chat is where the grammar lessons are given(y);)

The NFL thing... I know nothing about NFL or sliding pitches, nothing at all, so please can someone who knows about such things help me out here. My worry is if NFL and/or any pitch changes to suit NFL mean the seats being any further from the pitch. One of the good things about the Lane at the moment is that all sides of the ground are very close to the pitch - and we are supposed to have been promised that this sort of arrangement would be kept, to keep that cauldron feel at the ground.

Would the NFL deal affect this, does anyone know? Thanks...

I know I said I had heard nothing and I doubted it would happen, but I have news from my guy on the legal side, he said a contract for a new Spurs player was in the office yesterday being processed. To confirm I asked my man at the club who I was speaking to re the stadium.

me - any signings?

"should be one any day now if you believe what you read in the papers....."

me - yeah X just told me legal side done

""garrulous lawyer spills beans on transfer coup!""

Can only assume it's TA given the whole 'if you believe what you read in the papers'

My tail is firmly between my legs
