I know some are saying the nfl thing is not a game changer and maybe as an isolated factor it may well not be. However the exposure the stadium and thfc get from the collaboration could bring more intriguing possibilities with regard to sponsorship. The little bald fella was incredibly insightful with separate league and cup shirt sponsors. I wouldnt be surprised if he had ideas for seperate football and nfl sponsorship for the stadium.
Factor in the nfl match day income, merchandise and probable tv rights cut we could in reality subsidise a portion of our football related expenditure.
We cant really compare any deal to wembley as they have no football team as such with which to affiliate, especially one whose games would be broadcast in the US

NFL is probably going to own those revenues. We are not going to see any NFL TV revenue.

NFL is likely going to rent out the stadium on game weeks, and will keep all the game-day revenue. TV revenue goes to NFL teams, not stadium owners.

To the extent there is a retractible field - NFL may be chipping in some construction costs to help cover that, and the turf itself.

It will help in the naming rights - as the stadium now has a more global audience, and we can target companies who want to market to both Europe and America.

Imagine, tomorrow morning...

1) Spurs announce long term partnership with the NFL...

2) Spurs are delighted to announce the signing of Toby Alderweireld...

3) Spurs are also delighted to announce the sale of Emmanuel Adebayor.

It'll be a famous day, one we will tell our grandchildren about. Ah, there was this day in July 2015 when... I was straight onto SC and Twitter to register my opinion, it was super. Received loads of RTs and winner ratings.
1 and 3 would be brilliant

Absolutely not. Much more exposure if it has one mega name surely?
But my point is, financially it might be more lucrative to split it.
As an example one sponsor might have more of a football interest and offer x amount for 10 years. They may have only a minor interest in the nfl affiliation, and not commit to that so not offer more based on that. Also we have no idea how long the nfl deal would be for. If the contract was 3 years but we could get a 10 year stadium deal based purely on the premierleague at x amount then financially it would make sense to split this sponsorship/naming rights.
Just my onion

Sorry if this is off topic, but I haven't understood exactly what this NFL deal is? I know NFL the american sport, but that cannot be relevant to our stadium in London?

If this is way out off topic, don't bothered responding, but if not a short info would be very appreciated.

To save my ass i'll give A&C a "whitty" sex-story:
Two days ago I had my weekly "act" After some begging (I always make her beg). In the Oral session (of her obviously) i put a finger in her a*s.
She totally fancied it so i did another one. Still a sucess!
The low-point came When she afterwords said "shame you did that second one, cause if you now put your d*ck in there it will feel like waiving a stick in a football field..."

Nobody will want a split sponsorship. As soon as it is known by one name, nobody will ever use the 2nd name, defeating the purpose of having a second naming partner.

Who ever ponies up the money, will want their name tied inextricably with the stadium - and probably on the stadium....

The NFL thing... I know nothing about NFL or sliding pitches, nothing at all, so please can someone who knows about such things help me out here. My worry is if NFL and/or any pitch changes to suit NFL mean the seats being any further from the pitch. One of the good things about the Lane at the moment is that all sides of the ground are very close to the pitch - and we are supposed to have been promised that this sort of arrangement would be kept, to keep that cauldron feel at the ground.

Would the NFL deal affect this, does anyone know? Thanks...

There's a couple of threads in Spurschat under the new stadium and the NFL thing. Really interesting, but probably a bit of a trawl through now. Maybe tomorrow we will all know more rather than just guessing or making assumptions.

Mate. That's a carlsberg day and would be the start of a legendary wankathon.

There is no way DL would sign up for this, if it didn't mean big money for THFC, I trust DL in that we will own our new ground and will make a very nice revenue out of it, which will only benifit the football side of the club, there is no way DL would sign a deal with the NFL, if it didn't benifit THFC...

Hopefully a better story than a certain day in August 2013...

I do imagine that this makes ENIC more marketable to, say, a US-based investment banker - who may have their eyes on also owning a NFL franchise down the road....

If the NFL thing works out even 1% better than our last partnership with another franchise, we're laughing...

I'm sure people realize how big the NFL is. I imagine we will get some of the broadcasting money for any games in the stadium. That in itself is a ton of money. The EPL just sold it's rights to BT/Sky for £5.1b for 3 years (£1.7b/year). The NFL currently gets £1.94b/year for its rights to cable networks in the US alone. Each team is guaranteed ~£117m in broacast compensation in the 2016 year (compared to £54.1m for EPL this year).

Edit. Actually heard heavenly voices channelling through me then...
The only way Tim could get Ade through the door is by taking the 1st team squad off the wage bill.
