You don't see the benefit from the NFL's view of having the mock ups of the shiny new stadium that they will be playing games in to release to the media?
I know this is a big deal for Spurs, but this is really just a small blip on the NFLs radar.

Its 2+ games a year, three years from now. I think their involvement in the press release was more for our benefit than theirs.

Does anyone know or has read what the approximate revenue will be from the NFL partnership to the club.

I would guess that the cost of meeting the NFL's requirenents are quite substantial so i would imagine the Club would be getting a very large cheque for the ten year partnership?

No idea, but has to be better than the real partnership we had.

I agree tbh not sure why everyone is treating it like the biggest thing ever .. the stadium may ultimately be but 2 NFL games a season is meh for me unless they announce a whole stack of direct benefits that come with it for Spurs and not just the local economy.

While the NFL news is good for Spurs, I still wish the agreement was reciprocal regarding regular season games. As an American, I would have loved to see a regular season Spurs match over here. No chance that will happen.

In my opinion, having a regular season match here would do more for Spurs branding in the U.S. than playing a game in a stadium where Spurs happen to play too. Whatever NFL teams play in the new stadium are losing a home game. Their fans might not be to happy about that and I doubt they would be Spurs fans after that. I guess I just opened myself up to a whole bunch of neg repping...oh well.

NFL in England when it's played at Wembley is huge.. massive in fact.

Getting some of that alongside the national stadium is just as huge!

I think it becomes very clear why we brought Poch to the club now. WE've not been spending much over the last few years and Poch is looking to be a build a team greater than the sum of its parts.
That's been said of every manager since Harry, who is ironically the only one who has managed it in recent memory

I think a major part of the perceived financial benefits will be the impact it has on the naming rights, sponsorship etc for the new stadium as it effectively opens up a second marketing audience for sponsors.

I think he meant our announcement or the so called microsite, which tbf there is some new info on the stadium and new design on the spurs site etc ... although i'll be honest i was expecting super graphics, videos rather than just a few pics and a page of writing. but hey its all positive.

Did you look in the New Stadium sub heading??? there's interviews etc in it.

Well just judging by Levy's comments on SS earlier it is quite minimal, he was quite deprecating about it, he said (paraphrased) "they'll only pay us a small rental fee for every game but there are bigger picture plans which we hope will come to fruition"

SSN saying that Southampton have decided against legal action as it was Toby's choice to join us.
Can only assume all that first option payment bollocks was exactly that.... bollocks!

Won't be alongside the national stadium, it's instead of the national stadium.
Deal with Wembley ends in 2018, which is why we have stepped in.

I'm guessing we could pencil in £2m per game - so a minimum of £40m over 10 years for the minimum 2 games. I'd guess that there will be additional games, so that's a minimum.

But the other benefits may be even bigger :

- Huge publicity in US and elsewhere whenever NFL games are broadcast 'from the home of Tottenham Hotspurs (the extra 's' seems very important to many US commentators), translating into higher support for Spurs in US.
- Likely increased stadium naming rights deal.
- The NFL deal by itself may help put the stadium on the map for other events, including international football matches and events

Overall could be worth a couple of hundred million pounds - but that's a real guess

The other reason why the NFL wanted this deal is to have control over the field.

One of the main gripes about Wembley has been the condition of the turf for NFL games. An artificial surface is ideal for the NFL - but obviously not for any PL team. So, the option to install an artificial surface below a sliding natural pitch, is a pretty big selling point for the NFL.
