About the NFl thing, the games over here are going to be broadcast at 9am American time, meaning the games over here will have their own slot on American TV with no other games to interfere - that's huge, mainstream coverage with no other games on, we're looking at 10's of millions watching.

We don't need to tell sponsors that.
You're right we dont need to because they already know that. Anyone with a half a brain cell in the US could tell you there is no chance of a Super Bowl in London, let alone the new stadium. Way too many issues with that for the NFL to think it would be worth it. Also, everyone knows you need a bare minimum of 70k to host. However, i'd say it's likely the Pro Bowl will be over there some time.

Do a little research into it and you'll find that Goodell has been pushing for a London Super Bowl for a few years. It's more likely than you think.

But that's not why we're here!

Not unless the NFL continues this digital viewing only scheme they have for a game this year at Wembley with Yahoo. No one's going to be watching a streamed game through their computer at 6AM to 9AM(depending on time zone) besides for those who play fantasy football.

I wouldnt exactly call Alderweireld a "transfer coup." That term should be used for legit first XI players of real quality that no one would expect to come here. Alderweireld is simply another squad signing. The least impressive and glorious thing of what we've announced this week. Stadium, NFL, Bentaleb, Winks then Alderweireld would be the order.

I didn't really want Alderweireld but....ouch, poor chap.

Feel a bit sorry for him that he only got an hour of glory before they started announcing everything else. And, let's face it, it's hard to draw focus when everyone is cooing over an aerial stadium experience (which, awesome!).

hertyid has just said on coys that Fazio is not leaving, so that leaves us with 5 CBs. Why did we sign Wimmer if we were going to get Toby?

Dier's progress will also be halted as he won't get much playing time.

Not going to happen.

The starting time for the game alone almost makes it a non-starter. To have a viable US broadcast, the earliest the game could start is 9:00PM in London - that has people leaving the stadium at about 1:00AM Sunday night/Monday morning.

The trend has been for Super Bowls to start after 6:00PM on the east coast of US - or after 11:00PM in London. That maximizes the broadcast - which is where most of the revenue is generated for the NFL. The NFL is not interested in jeopardizing that money for the sake of putting the event in another country.

You are more likely to see the FA Cup final staged in New York than to see a Super Bowl here.
