Be happy with Berahino. Would be our defoe replacement. Could go on to be a better player though
5 goals and 5 assists in 3 season's (over 3000 mins). He may have taken on more players but he did fuck all after he had beaten them. Other than dribbles (which is easier playing against open teams) what stats does he blow Lennon and Townsend to dust?I think thats a pretty closed minded view based on what im not sure. He had a pretty decent season last year and statistically speaking he kind of leaves Lennon and Townsend in his dust.
Most notably - he was extremely successful at taking on players and beating them. Average of 3.3 successful dribbles per Prem game last year. Only two players bettered that - Hazard and Oxlade-Chamerblin.
The best anyone on our side could muster was an average of 1.7 and Andros managed less than one successful dribble per game with Lennon having even less.
He would offer something different and if you watched Spurs at all last year i think it is painfully obviously that we need someone capable of taking on players at pace as we dont have anyone at all that can do that.
McCarthy maybe has injury problems and Berahino definately has an attitude problem! Is there any new ITK I want something out if the blue plz JJ!?
One of the worst moves he could have made, a club that he won't progress at.Stupid boy.
Well yes, you're right, it is how we roll usually, the trouble is that chat drifts that way until it gets to the point where people are repeating themselves or making the same points which is when we ask for it to be taken over there.Surely the Moses shit can go to the player thread, its tiring reading about stats in here.
Another one for the players thread now.Go and check McCarthy's appearances for the last few seasons and come back and tell me if apart from last year he really has these mythical 'injury problems'.
Do these kids or their parents not fucking learn?

City probably gave the kid a 5 year deal on 50k a week. Even if he break his leg and never play football again he is still set up for life when signing for City, so i can see the appeal.
Chances are he wont see many first team opportunities, but the kid gonna be loaded. Thats just modern football.
Where has this Berahino link come from again is it just paper talk or as itk mentioned something about him
Trix has said that his agent was the issue we had and now that has been removed things could change.THFCSPURS19 said:For me, the main stumbling block with Berahino was his attitude problems, which would mean he probably wouldn't succeed under Poch. IF those problems have somehow miraculously disappeared, then I wouldn't be against the signing. Still wouldn't be my first choice, but it would make sense.

Although how that relates to turning up late for training, matches, fighting with his team mates and off field issues I don't know.
Maybe Pullis has calmed him down and set him straight.

At the moment he isn't signing a new contract though. If it gets to next summer without him signing he will take a drastic price drop. Might influence the price they are willing to accept this summer.I don't think west brom will sell for 15 mill though
Poch doesn't mind a bad boy. He had Osvaldo twice. I think as far as Poch sees it, you can be as much of a knob as you like as long as you train hard, listen to and execute his instructions on the pitch and don't upset the squad harmony on a persistent basis. Don't mind players fighting or shouting at each other. Apparently nobody at Man U liked Roy Keane. Its respect that matters. As long as they make up afterwards and behave like adults shows a bit of the eye of the ttiger if you ask me.
