Shard your trying too hard with calling him nigel every time. We know what his name is
It was a slip of the finger.

Poch: 'maybe one more signing'

I dunno. I just can't remember us ever ridding ourselves if so many millstones. I'm content to make a couple of signings and try and let this group grow together. It's a long game, but it just looks like our squad could be harmonious and progressive and with a ton of scope to improve rather than a ramshackle collection of former manager signings.Maybe in terms of outgoings that's true, but in terms of making key signings there have been plenty of times where we've been linked to players that would both strengthen and balance the team/squad.
We simply didn't sign any of those players, so at this moment in time 'close' doesn't really count for much (even if I agree that it looks positive).
Is that 1 more signing in addition to the 2 we've already secretly signed?I think Poch is deliberately trolling us with this 'maybe one more signing' nonsense.
Trust JJ over him any day!
Only in America.I'm not the brightest tool in the box, so this might come as no surprise, but I've always thought nonplussed meant unperturbed, and I'm from the UK.
I'll be mighty relieved if/when Berahino signs for us.

And that's really positive.
Poch has literally never been one to talk to the media about transfers and man management stuff. That's why it was such a shock to hear him openly say Ade and Lennon weren't in his plans.Poch is very smart with how he addresses the media. I don't think he's the type to lay out our transfer plans in the media.

Aye, I think he'll get more leeway than previous in incumbants, but I quite like the idea of getting Alli or Pritchard in the team, find out how good they are rather than signing players and see them lose playing time. I'd take a punt on that this season to an extent and see where we end up. But sure, plenty are gonna want to challenge for top 4 and anything short of that will seem not good enough.Seems more like a reverse AVB/Bale sale summer to me. AVB brought in a bunch of players that for the most part ended up being unsuitable, and left us with a squad that was weak in key areas.
Pochettino/Levy have done a great job of ridding the squad of unsuitable/unused players, but right now we're still quite weak in key areas. AVB didn't get Moutinho - Pochettino didn't get Schneiderlin. Neither got/have currently obtained the players they need/ed. The last thing I want to see is Pochettino get sacked because such an unbalanced side struggles in the top half of the league.
Lets not go there.Still waiting for N'Jie confirmation, but I do wonder if any delay might be due to a player plus cash arrangement, as per Siggy.
