Doubt it the N'Jie contract would stand by itself and if there is another contract for Fazio (or whoever) to go there that would stand alone, in both cases the deals would be done with payment clauses - and the clubs can later decide to net the payments off or not.

Maybe. Just postulating why our transfers have been like a grand master chess face off this summer!

I think N'jie is the "1 down" (hence the #welcomeclinton)

So, Gards is expecting 2 more - presumably Berahino and a CM? With a 3rd player also possible.

We would still need to see 2-3 more out - after Soldado.

After Soldado, the Everton fans seem to believe that Lennon is almost done leaving the enigma who is Adebayor to finalise or not the AV deal (and nobody can call that until its done as Adebayor is so unpredictable), and logically Fazio is likely to go with Carroll too as their services are not required if the CM come in.

So that logically is the outgoings.

So I think the 3rd one in may or may not happen at the last moment - and its probably uncertain as to whether the selling club will let him go or the player will come until the last minute.

Im thinking the "possibly 3" remark might refer to getting in another CM outside of the CM and the WF/F we currently are trying to get now that N'Jie is in. With Carroll leaving(see Trix's ITK from a few days ago), that currently leaves us with Bentaleb, Mason, Alli, Winks and Dembele. Dembele has mainly played in the AM3 under Poch, so really its only Bentaleb, Mason, Alli and Winks. Even with an incoming CM, it leaves us with 5 CM's, 4 if we loan out Winks. Poch might see it being a bit short but something he can make do with, if we cant get in another one by the deadline.

BTW, we are all in agreement that the WF/F are Berahino with cabbage 1 aka little pea as the backup plan and Bender as the CM target, yeah?

Was also just thinking the possibly 3rd might refer to bringing in cabbage 1 little pea if Townsend goes, making N'Jie/Berahino strictly a WF.

hmm...so ifs Berahino it will be two more (including him obviously)

If we can't get him, it will be three bargain basements to appeal the masses lol.

Personally I really am hoping we get Berahino.

Beharino, Bender, Yarmolenko.

What's the opposite of 'Meltdown'?

For yarmelenko, Townsend will have to go. This would all be so much more exciting if we weren't going to be 4-5 games into the season by the end of this window
