Well obviously it does. Otherwise we would have done it?

Answer me this: why would you think our board would deliberately slow this down? Which is your insinuation.

Maybe because we ourselves are waiting for better opportunities as we always seems to do to the detriment of our team. You identify and buy players before the start of the season, now is the time to strengthen the squad not the first team. I understand it is not as easy as walking in to a shop and buying an item but you make it sound like it's an impossible mission, sorry dude but plenty of others (including smaller clubs) are able to do it. If it were Levy's first transfer window i'd give him the benefit of the doubt but hey seen it far too many times. Once bitten, twice shy......

Lessons have been learned, we have a plan in place, targets already lined up for next window as well as a long list of backup options sounded out...Negotiations are proving difficult, selling clubs need to find replacements, bigger clubs may be interested, we need to wait til the end of the window, we have a list of targets that the manager is happy with....Is complicated, we have a few targets the manager is happy with, player x wanted too much money, player y wanted champions league football, player z got offered a new contract, but we didn't want him anyway, we have already moved on to superior targets....We tried but the deal was difficult to do, club x changed the terms at the last minute/broke their fax machine, it was too late in the window club y didn't have time to find a replacement, we ran out of time, all the documents were in order but we didn't register with the FA in time....BUT don't worry as negotiations are ongoing we are already quite far down the line and we now have the signings for next the window already in place, lessons have been learned and the manager is very happy with the players at his disposal....

And they say the definition of insanity is.....?

the state of being seriously mentally ill; madness OR extreme foolishness or irrationality.

Not seeing the link with your above post.

If however you are referring to the old quote wrongly attributed to Einstein; "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results" ... Still not seeing the link to your post.

There are one or two who have trod a fine line but generally anyone who indulges themselves in bashing of any form gets their access removed in quick time. We won't have it. Personally I think we've managed to keep SC relatively clear of it myself so your comments confuse me.

Has it been that bad on here?
The modding on here is good, but indirectly people are showing no regard to the ITKs by insisting that Levy is ruining the club, despite the fact that the window is not closed and the ITKs are insisting irons are in the fire.

It really pisses me off when this thread gets locked, and always because of the same people having the same arguments.

Never thought I'd get fed up of this place, but it's beginning to test my patience. Wouldn't be surprised if ITKs feel the same.

I'm not saying sc don't do a great job , they do its a good site with a lot of banter , all I was saying was for the short time I've been on here it has gradually got worse. That's all .
I've seen the ban stick more this summer than before.?
I think people have been chased off by the stick with a little bit of poo on the end, more for taking things too far off topic, than slating itks. I've not noticed much, if any, personal abuse of the itks.

Huh? o_O

How can better opportunities be to the detriment of our team, if it is - in your opinion - about the squad?

As for other clubs being able to do it ... with all due respect I think you are imagining things.

SC is one of the best sites for itk posters. A&C,Rob, Stoof etc... deal with everything very sharp and fair. It may have been a regular occurrence or not that isn't their fault idiots bash itk. Trix has also said he enjoys it here which is great news as I enjoy his and all itk and how also he gives HIS OPINION on things. We also have jj and rebrab who are here and don't get pestered and we don't question them regarding anything. So all in all if I were to be a frequent ITK poster I would certainly opt for SC!

Try blocking a couple of people, not those you disagree with but just a few who post frequently but add nothing new or interesting to discuss. You'd be surprised how much better it gets.

Honestly, I think we can all make the mistake of treading a fine line when we post vis a vis the law ... written posts, often emotional due to the subject matter can easily be misunderstood, come across wrong but I have to agree that anyone who is on here regularly knows what is and isn't accepted.

Thread still gets locked most days.

Don't mind people having different opinions to me, but learn where, when and how to express them.

Of course its including smaller clubs, it is easier for smaller clubs because they have ten times as many players to choose from who will improve them, when you get better fewer players will improve you.
Bigger clubs however are actually richer clubs and so its easier for them too funnily enough.

Please note: this is information from an actual person with knowledge of how these things work. Choosing not to believe this is choosing your own version of events, lads, and why I get so annoyed at those that don't listen to this sort of stuff.
What I also feel some fail to realise is that we on here are tracking every moment of every movement for players..we receive info at each stage of the ups and downs. We often compare ourselves to other clubs who 'supposedly' get sorted early: untrue. They ALSO have their ups & downs; fails & successes; however, naturally, we don't follow their processes... There's no logic in the mistaken belief that we 'leave things til the last moment', or 'we lo-ball on offers'. It's an effing market place; where businesses- football & players - are traded. Of course I want the best for spurs, as we all do. But, please people, let us make the lowly assumption that Levy et al also want the best for Spurs! Rant over; as we were

This is a fine point. We are trying to compete with clubs who have money to burn and Champions League football to offer. The people who run our club are damned if they do and damned if they don't.

Agree with you about yesterday and we only drew to a 'new signing' making a mistake. We were fine till then against a good team. The no striker issue came up though as he went off and we had a midfielder playing there instead of him. I just don't get the logic someone like berahino is more attainable on the last week of the window than the first. Teams don't sell there best players now and that's the type of players we need

It's logical because they've signed new strikers.

He's not with us, and has played for WBA, I am assuming, because their strikers weren't immediately registered to play.

It has the feel of a Gentlemen's agreement between the clubs and gives SB some additional match fitness.

Of course I could be wrong, as I'm speculating again. :)

Yeh because it's so difficult to find better players than Bentaleb, Mason and Dier for CM and when you have only one player upfront in Kane, I can completely understand that there are not many options to add to the squad.

So you'd be happy to buy a player that would be considered deadwood next season for a striker? Why not just keep bobby or use ade? Coulthirst could have even been used.
Mason is an england international and bentaleb and dier are two hot prospects.

We lost and drew. Mostly through sloppy mistakes. We were not out played in eaither game and are above chelsea in the league. Every year fans think that buying a special player will be the difference. The difference for me will be when we get our players playing to their full abilities.
