Do people REALLY want to be banned now, just as we're getting to the (anti) climax of it all?

Where do people think we will finish….
Next seasons points……

By posting this shit you not only ruin the thread and run the risk of missing out, you're enticing other herberts to respond and take the ban with you.

Its up to you now……You all had long enough, you all know how it rolls. This stuff isn't thoughtless, its blatantly taking the piss. taking the piss out of the staff, the other members who manage to stick to the rules and those whom you tempt into joining in. I'd happilly be shot of you just for the rank selfish idiocy. So whoever has the family brain cell, give them a call, get hold of it and put it to work.

Its about time some of you wised up.

I see many point to this, but i just don't get it. So next season we should be reasonably happy if we get a point or two from the same fixtures then? Afterall that's how many we got this year. right??
Where did I say you had to be happy about it? I was just commenting on the rampant doom-mongery

I think Lennon will probably go to Everton. Just after we've played them.
I agree, but only after Everton exhaust their other options like Yarmolenko and Bernard.

Which will be after our game with them, so in a way you're right.

ITK says that we're in for Illarramendi. That's great - he looks like just the kind of centre midfielder to make things happen for Spurs.

We want to have a squad that can compete effectively in the Premier League this year. I just hope that we have a chairman who can compete effectively behind the scenes and bring in that player. If we're competing with Liverpool for larramendi's signature then we need to do all that we can to secure the player. If that means offering more salary than Liverpool then so be it. We're supposed to be competing for a spot in the top four. Our supposed competition for a spot at the top four table is clear. How much have Utd, City, Liverpool, etc. spent this summer on new players? How much has Spurs spent? Right now I think we've made money on transfers. Now is the time to invest.

If there's any real intent by the Club to at least give the impression of mounting a serious challenge this year then quality players need to be brought in before the window closes. Berahino looks like he could do the job. So does Illarramendi.

ITK has said that the stadium plans won't impact the transfer budget. The implication is that there is money to be spent. (And maybe we should also close our eyes to the net spends in the past few years).

I'm just concerned that it'll be another case of excuses when the quality ones get away and we're left with a Saha and a Nelson as the incomings at the end of the window.

Now is the time for Levy to put his balls on the line. Man up. Is he a chairman of an ambitious football club on the rise or is he the chairman of a company where maximizing profit is the main intent.

Has Levy got the gigantic balls of a true sports competitor or the small, shrivelled nuts of a miserly accountant?

Re Berahino, We've still not had any bad news ITK so in spite of people's fears everyone in the know is confident so I'd guess the club is confident too.

Levy is happy to have us in the top half of the Premier League until the new stadium arrives. Ultimately, that's where our current resources place us.

I'd love to see us splash a shit load of money to attract the best players BUT there's no guarantees buying from abroad.

Completely agree.
JJs confident, until that changes then I don't see a need to worry.

This is the first time I've ever actually thought of Levy's balls. For some reason, I can't get a mental picture of it; everytime I try to it fades.

Perhaps this is because Levy looks like a eunuch. In fact, he's basically the skinny twin of Game of Thrones' eunuch.

Excellent post. You prompted some great thinking.

I'm not talking of splashing the cash as our 'competitors' have done. I'm just hoping that we do better than last year when only Burnley spent less than us. I'm hoping that Levy shows that he's willing and able to support the manager by bringing in the players that he wants before the window closes. According to ITK that's Berahino and Illarramendi. If he needs to offer more in salary than Liverpool to attract and secure the player then he needs to do so. Levy also needs to show that he is indeed a good negotiator and one of the traits of a good negotiator is to know when to throw in the cards and move on to another target. If he does move on then I'm hoping that the target will be someone we'll all be happy with (as JJ says we will be) and not some second rate back-up of the kind we've had in recent memory.

Hope...

Not ITK bashing but ITK rarely break bad news, they rationalise it after it breaks in the press but they don't break it ahead of time.

Surely our itk can only speak for what Spurs are thinking? And not what's in the mind of the west brom chairman who can say yes or no whenever he wants
