I cringe when i here posters say save the meltdown for Tuesday. Really... No DM. No alternative to Kane. I think its the posters who have been so Cock sure that Peace was just bluffing and wanted a higher price. The thing is i cannot rationalize or comprehend that thinking. What is the difference between letting him go last week vs monday or tuesday. I cringe at the irrational thinking.

I find the lull in activity disconcerting. It is painfully clear that in order to compete and look after our young striker we need recognized cover plus a solid DM. The level of pressure Kane will be under if we dont bring in someone to spell him will have an adverse affect. It is far too much to ask of even a legend in the making like harry. I have my fingers crossed that the folks in charge are aware of this too and will make sure we arent screwed come 6pm on tuesday.

I guess it has been nearly 48hrs since we unveiled a new player whom we had no real idea about until it was as good as done.

I disagree, we shouldn't be in a position where we are thinking of buying players for the sake of it. There are plenty of players out there who would not fall into that category that we supposedly passed on. Let's see how the next two days pan out but it would be a monumental fcuk up if we have only Kane as a striker.

I find the clamouring for a defensive midfielder slightly odd, we are shorter of creativity in my opinion.
Are we confusing defensive with someone who will pick the ball up from the defense and set the tempo?

To be fair I agree with Poch about Dier. After seeing his performance yesterday I think if anything it's a playmaker we need in CM more than a DM.
Striker situation on the other hand is desperate. As others have said, one proper CF after the window closes is nothing less than incompetence. Even a loan signing for the season or until Jan is the minimum we need to do.
Still, the window hasn't shut just yet.
