Ok, not calling you out, just wonder why he chose Swansea over us if our interest was that strong.

Would imagine that we had other preferred options ahead of him at the time and he wanted his future sorted so would not wait until he became our no1 target/fallback

we desperately need a second decent 'real' striker. If 2 hours before the deadline we can't get who we want, we have to get Charlie Austin. We simply cannot afford to go into the season proper with Harry as our only 'real' striker.

Don't you think someone else will be in for Austin by then? Reck if we want him we will have had to get the process going Tuesday morning latest

I would suggest saving any meltdown until Tuesday night. Deadline deals can come out of nowhere and happen in quick time.

Interesting. I have a strong feeling that we won't end up with anybody. I want us to sign another striker as N'Jie and Son don't seem to be #9s and I really feel we need an out and out goalscorer to replace and rotate with Kane. Both look like they have goals in them but I'm not sure about how they'll handle playing up top on their own if Kane is out or not in form.

As for the midfielder. I still think we need a good DM/CM, I really do. Either a creative ballplayer or a tackler. Dier is doing well as a makeshift DM and Bentaleb has good moments, but neither are good enough to be in that position regularly if we want to be top 4 challengers. Can't see anyone that's available though.
