Italian transfer about to shut in the next few minutes, so if AC Milan are really trying to do a deal for Witsel it needs to be soon (not that we always hear straight away).

Germany shut at 6pm, rest of Europe has til midnight.

Sky reporting ac Milan are in for sandro on loan!

I didn't put 2 and 2 together until now but maybe they want him instead of Witsel

Frankly I'm quite content with the state of affairs, we addressed our biggest weakness and Son looks to be a shrewd buy, sure I'd like more but I'm not greedy, I'll make my full conclusion when the window shuts.

This whole 'lessons have been learned' concept seems like something to use against Levy when we don't sign any of the 150 players we're linked to every transfer window.

Son was a good buy but don't you think a dm and a back up striker were more important aquistions considering the options we have available atm

Our most important acquisitions were centre-backs and a RB, we bought them early, that was a necessity. DM is a need but it was not our most important need at the start of the Summer. Backup striker is another need but again not our most important.

When the window shuts I'll make a complete conclusion on how we did but until then I'm not jumping to conclusions.

So, assuming AC don't land Witsel, that leaves us as favourites?
Are we really going to spend up the best part of £50m on both Witsel and Berahino??? I bloody hope so. Find it hard to believe, but fingers crossed eh.
