Realistically, I'm expecting a CF in a permanent transfer, and a DM/CM on loan. Can't see the outlay on both on permanent with Lamela still with us.
However, JJ seems steadfastly positive it's in hand, so I'm happy to stay equally positive.
CF is a must, as we only have one. We have players that could do a job short term, but not long term.
A starting CM would be great, but with Bentaleb, Mason, Dembele, Alli, Carroll and Winks all still in the squad, all CM's, it is less of a critical signing that CF for me.

When asked about Witsel. Even called out journos who said that its not happening.
Maybe something in this as he's usually well informed

I could be wrong but I thought son was more a winger than a striker.
It could work, but I'd rather of bought a player who has played as a lone striker before.

Poch said before the transfer window that he wanted a smaller squad with players that can play in more than one position. Njie and son may be used as backup striker. Better than ade and soldado.

Very risky strategy considering neither have played as a lone striker. Could work a la Henry. Let's hope for the best

If we sign Both Witzel and Berahino one will not be able to tell the differens between my cock and Levys head o_O
I just had a chat with Gards that's who we are definitely going for

I'm pretty sure by now we must know the price it'll take to get both. So if the club are genuinely serious about getting them, time to pay up. If they know the prices and feel it's too much, why would we be still in for them. If Levy manages to secure both of these players, on top of the rest of the windows ins and outs, has to go down as the best window ever. Now, just the small matter of offloading a few more, Ade, Lennon and probably Fazio for starters.

Gotta love deadline day. I'm on bloody holiday, so having to drift in and out with wifi locations.

Bloody hell. JJ seems pretty upbeat! Given that he's the Oracle as far as I'm concerned I reckon we just might get a few players tomorrow...

Putting 2 and 2 together, looks like we've agreed terms with Witsel and the talks are with Zenit.

The Samaritans are on standby if JJ's news is a neg, or we fail to bring in a striker at least.
