Bryan Swanson still chirping away like a constipated squirrel about the total amount paid out by Premier League clubs... And saying there is still hope for some clubs as PL can confirm deals up to 8pm.

Nothing will happen, that's the point... And Levy knows it.

Give it a few weeks and it'll all be a distant memory as we scrape a 2-1 victory at Sunderland.

Look at Newcastle fans with Mike Ashley... It's futile in the end.

Come next summer, we will get the same positive ITK... Everyone will buy into the positivity and low and behold... We will back here again - underwhelmed and angry.

That's the cycle.

I don't know there will plenty of moaning. Why get off your arse and do something when you can sit on it and moan?

Is there still a chance the deal paper has been submitted we have two hours to complete it?

We signed Trippier, Wimmer, Alderwereild, Ali, Njie and Son. We really need a striker to support Kane but WBA stringed us along there, no doubt. We were done but we will have to rely on Lamela, Chadli, Njie and Son to support or replace Kane in certain games. I support the club and just live with some of this shit because the alternative is supporting some other club and that isn't going to happen.
Let's see what Poch can do with this lot.

Mate they didn't string us a long. We didn't meet their asking price, simple as that. We employed the usual tactics of trying to bully them into selling for less but it just served to harden their stance.

I wish you could "favourite" quotes and show them to people at the end of the season.

Levy's role in the season has finished until January. Slaughter him as much as you need to (rightly or wrongly, with the limited amount of information you ACTUALLY have).

But don't let it leak on to the pitch. That's all I ever desire from my positivity is to make sure that even if one person decides not to boo then that's my job done. Support the team. Take it all with a pinch of salt. Yes it's a fucking intense hobby, Spurs, but it's supposed to be a bit of fun as well.

Looking forward to seeing our new forwards play. Clinton and Heung-Min. They're my boys.

Oh I agree

The team and whoever is playing will always count on my full support on the pitch, but if the team has a slump sadly it will be Poch who will be sacked and made the fall guy when the manager is not the real culprit

Not even Pre-season, not even August, Season not even started, still a month to go, still four weeks, still three weeks, still two weeks, still 10 days, still a week, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 12 hours, 8 hours, 4 hours. 6:30

I'm waiting @Stoof. Lessons have been learnt, chill we got this, everything will be fine, deals have been worked on, weeks of work has been done it doesn't matter if it's done June or September 1st, same shit every fucking year.

If only i could give this a x2 winner ratings. All the mugs who kept spouting this bs line.

In the main we did our defensive business early and cleared the decks of deadwood. Cant complain there. just cannot understand why we did not do the striker and dm business early enough too.

Why? Do explain. I am trying to let give people an insight and taking the piss doesnt help anyone.

If we're mug enough to take promises as guarantees and put all our eggs in 1 basket we've only ourselves to blame.

while i am frustrated at the lack of striker im not in full on period mode like some here - we tried and failed to bring in saido - he wanted to come but we got done.

I am very very happy with the additions to the squad - we have some pace finally - we have a RB in tripper who i am very pleased to have in our side, two CB's and a team of young and hopefully hungry players.

Well said.

So let's see. We unloaded a full first team of players and saved nearly £20m in wages. We will end with an exactly zero net spend after the Lennon transfer goes through. We have one recognized striker.

And Adebayor...

Could someone please explain to me how clubs like West Brom and Palace are able to spend £20m net and we don't. We're all getting TV money, so that can't be the excuse.

Just really feel like we're going to get left behind and find ourselves squarely in the premier league middle class this season.

Because we need money for all singing and dancing American football stadium we're building.

probably the worst part of this for me is that I was forced to log into Glory-glory whilst this site was down. My god, what happened to that place?

Never leave me again SC, pinky promise?

I think the way clubs do business is changing. Its no coincidence that more and more often we're seeing clubs refuse the advances of the 'bigger boys'. WBA, Southampton and Everton just this year alone…….The amount of money clubs now receive just for being in the EPL is massive, stay the right side of solvency or whatever for a few years and boom. Its moved on and Levy hasn't moved on with it and judging by past events it'll still take a year or two before it finally dawns on him that he has to change his MO.

I suspect his 15m player is like a Bentley (despite him not working out), young with potential to get better, but he was over 15m quite a few years ago. Nowadays there is hardly any incentive for a lower mid / relegation battler to deal at that money.

So we need Njie and Son to score more goals than Adebayor and Soldado did last season. How will they ever do that? :nailbiting:

I'm so glad it's Levy forking out our direction and not the averige SC user. If it was we would have washed up Leandro Damaio's and overprized Berahino's in our squad, and none of em would have taken us the next step. Because none of em are that good.

Im not saying that we are better off without a shiny new striker or midfielder, I'm just saying we are not in a position to just splash out on players, especially silly numbers. Honestly Im releaved we didnt end up with Berahino this year, because in my eyes he is not close to defend the price tag he has.

new striker for X-mas then? Anyone

I'm not too fuzzed about Berahino specifically. I don't think he would have made much of a difference. I'm surprised that we didn't sign 1 CM. I really thought that would happen this window. I said before the window opened that Pochettino was dependant of a good transfer window. I've moved on from criticising him to pitying him now.
And changed my preferred Spurs formation from 433 to 460.
Good. Night.
