A huge thanks to the ITK for keeping us engaged during this window.

Look forward to focussing my attention back to the stuff on the pitch and to see our two new speedster rip it up in support of imo an already hugely talented squad.

Also a thanks to @Archibald&Crooks @Rob @Stoof and all the other admin for putting up with the madness and continuing to make the SC the only place to be during the transfer window ... I wouldn't want your jobs but you do it bloody well.

If Kane, by some miracle, can repeat last seasons performance I'm afraid we won't have even him come next summer window. The irony of that if he does perform, levy will surely cash in and if he doesn't well we're doomed to achieve nothing and go backward again... loose loose situation.

LOL are some people really defending Levy and saying at least we have youth players coming in?

Are these the same people who said they would rather we give Veljkovic the DM spot than sign someone good? Some of you must work for the Spurs PR team lol

It's ok that we don't have back up for Kane, we can just play little Jimmy from the under 12's upfront, he is a youth player and meant to be an exciting prospect!

Is anyone still hopeful on a surprise VDV-like secret last minute loan deal, there's still 48 minutes to go if papers were submitted in time.

Thought not.

I am pretty sure that, given his versatility, Eric Dier will make an excellent striker....he hasn't let us down yet.

Just got in and saw no signings. Very poor from Levy. I would have expected AT THE LEAST us to pick up a loan striker or free agent for European and cup competitions. Very poor.

I'm sorry but this lets all support levy and not make a big deal of it is actually ridiculous....I don't want to disrupt the club but hasn't levy just done that himself?

Are you all happy with sitting through this same shit every season? Do you not see a pattern?

Levy doesn't buy players we need >> Manager is not backed >> we don't finish 4th >>> manager is sacked >>> best players are sold >>> we are told we have learnt our lessons and things will be different >>>> repeat the cycle again.

Surely at some point we have to try and change things? We are basically enabling this.
It does not seem the right moment to write posts to 'defend' Levy (with emotions running high), but he is not the scout nor the coach and it seems clear that we have changed our transfer policy in that we will not buy player's Pochettino specifically does not want.

Wenger made it clear that if a club does not want to deal they won't. The end.

Levy does not want to pay fees so dramatically over the odds that only the likes of Man Utd, Chelsea and City can afford.

Players we may have targeted put in transfer requests and despite their clear desire to move, were not granted one.

If neither out manager not scouts identified viable alternatives that we could get / they wanted, what exactly were we supposed to do?

You guys are so funny, it's a shame, aye, we didn't get the striker we wanted or another DM but, Jesus, we're not suddenly shit. Kane will be rested for the EL games and, whilst, we're an injury away from serious trouble, with strengthened our squad and Poch seems to have unearthed a gem in Dier at CM. I'd have loved Berahino but, well, shit happens. You lot get far too worked up over this, do you not have anything else in your lives?

The first thing I'll do tomorrow morning is check for any late transfers.

Njie Son Chadli and Lamela are who we'll depend on to cover Kane. We've no idea what to expect from Njie. Perhaps he's who we see playing in Kanes absence. Arsenal have 1 CF and will finish top 4. We can still do well providing Kane can match last season. Big ask I know, but this is an optimistic post.
Optimism really doesn't cut it. We have 1 striker. Lamely is awful. Chadli is up and down. Clinton and Son are wide players who have never played in the UK

Arsenal have Giroud and Welbeck plus Walcott who has scored a lot of goals for them at CF. don't even compare our squad to theirs. They have weaknesses but we have gaping chasms.

We have royally screwed up

Wish we had just taken Pato on the cheap, I know it would have been a risk but considering his wages wouldn't have been that big, was available at only 8 and has CL experience I think it was the one to go for the second the Berahino deal started to stumble. No DM is the real killer, lack of grit in the middle of the park last season really cost us and now we are going to be stuck with a U21 defender playing there.... The mind boggles.

In addition to Lloris leaving next summer, I would assume Kane will want to as well after playing likely 40-50 games throughout the season if he is lucky to stay healthy. The goodwill he has toward Spurs can quickly change when put in a situation like that. Really, they are jeopardizing his career. Why would any promising 21 year old want to be run into the ground?

If they both leave, have to think Eriksen and Vertonghen are probably not far behind.
Kane won't go next summer, he'll be given a year off to recover from this seasons exploits.

I"m surprised to see all the animosity on here towards Levy. Mine was exhausted years ago. Remember 2008 when he sold Berbatov at the last minute - and got the magnificent Fraizer Campbell on loan by way of 'replacement'? And who can forget him securing Raziak from lastminute.com?

The fact is that no one can fire him so he won't go unless someone offers silly money. We're building a 55k+ stadium yet today I see tickets are still available for the home games against Liverpool and City.

So let's move on - to panicking about next summer when Lloris and Eriksen will be sold!

I do not want to hear the following ever again:
"Chill we've got this"
"We are very confident"
"All going according to plan"
"We've learnt from our mistakes"

no more !! At least we will not be in Europa next year.

Levy can count his dough and congratate himself. Net spend £0 big pat on the back from the fans
Cheers
