You really are one of the more sensible posters. That mentality shortened Michael Owen's career.
You're family has brought you up so well.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (who is apparently very highly rated) turned 17 three days ago and signed a pro contract on the same day. I suspect we will/attempt to do that with Edwards.
I'm confused by the whole 'pro contract' stuff- if Edwards were to sign one, would it be announced by the club like the Onomah and Winks contracts?I imagine as all the world cup team turn 17 their clubs will be trying to get them on pro contracts. I'm sure most are already on them. Though I'm not sure if Whiteman has been offered one

Is it only Edwards we will offer one to?
For some reason I thought Onomah's new contract was his pro contract. Clearly I got that wrong.See we don't do that, as far as I'm aware, for our pro contracts. While other clubs make a song and dance, we never really hear about it until the club publish the retained/released list. The club never announced that Carter-Vickers signed a pro contract, we all knew about it because the dailymail reported it as Arsenal were after him.
To be honest I don't ever remember hearing anything about Onomah signing his pro.
A pro contract is what it says it is. A professional contract, I'm sure they're more secure than scholar papers. They would be no different to say what Eriksen has but Eriksen would be on 50k while they might be on a 2k. When we first offer a pro contract I think that they are for 3 years, so Onomah and Winks were offered new contracts to reflect how they have improved which would be longer.
I would be suprsied if Edwards is the only one we offer it to, as I'm sure we would want to secure our most talented players. Sterling and Whiteman could also get one, as could Brown, Shashoua, Bennetts etc. It's just we won't release the info and noone would no about ti as there isn't the concern or hype about them.
@Spursidol would know more and be able to help though

Lets hope he is being advised well then. Surely he will see he will get a chance here with Poch in charge. Going to Chelsea or Man City ( if indeed it is them who are included in those interested) would be career suicide. Would be a huge loss if he went elsewhere.100%. Although could go either way, as others(with bigger wallets) are very interested.

Southampton? Espanol?I know its not fashionable to question Poch in this regard but what young players want to see is they will be given a chance.
Pellegrini gave Marco Lopes a couple of games a couple of seasons ago.
And this year Iheanacho, Robert's and George Evans, either in the PL or Cups. I know 2 were PL.
In comparison Posh gave Winks and Onomah 20mins each last season and has only given Winks mins this year only in the EL but he has introduced Mason who has kept a consistent place.
You could argue he also gave chances to Alli though he was bought after 2 seasons of league football.
My point isn't against Poch but for Edwards there isn't much difference between the two when it comes to giving chances atm we can't predict if Poch will do more in the future but this season Pellegrini seems willing
Also City pay significantly more and also play in UEFA youth CL which may be alluring.
