We are not going to lose tonight but they will be up for the fight and we will have to work hard for the win, this will not be easy.

This is a big test, we have messed these sort of games up so many times over the years. We need to be on it from first minute until the last otherwise we could be in for a nasty surprise.

really looking forward to this.

If we have another mature performance then we should win. Not easily but win all the same -

Hopefully no cup game last week means we should be in the best possible shape we can be.

3-1 spurs.

My hope is that we completely demolish them. I'm not very confident about most games but we have beaten Villa so many times now over the last few years including a couple of seasons ago when dembele dominated the whole midfield and i think my man crush grew on him grew even more. Anyways :D against villa it should be a win and i think i would go with the same team as we played against Bournemouth and let Dembele play further up so he cause their defence a load of hassle trying to get the ball of him as this will let eriksen and lamela roam about and pick out some good passes.

3 nil win please.

tough game and on form we should nick it but the new manager halo could still come into play

I don't think i've ever been more confident in predicting a victory for us - this Villa side is pretty rancid and in disarray regardless of whether Garde is officially appointed today or not.

Fast start is key, knock whatever wind is lingering around in their sails right out and look to win this in the first half with a view to conserving energy in the second.

Anything other than a win would be a fucking disaster!

Can't help but feel a few of you may be disappointed come the end of the evening.

If we play poorly that could well prove correct. However if we play like we have been recently we should have far too much for them.

No game is easy in this League but there's no reason why we shouldn't be confident and Villa are a poor side and have been in gradual decline for sometime, its not like they're just going through a rough period etc.

Big difference between confidence and arrogance.

My first trip to the Lane since the Gooner debacle... I think we'll probably be a bit complacent, make a few errors here and there, and have a few hairy moments. But ultimately we'll get by, not concede, and come away with a couple of goals to the good.

Win today and we go 9 points clear of chelsea which is massive at this stage of the season. Alos a win would turn an ok start to a very good start to the season IMO. 20 points from 11 games is very good

Need to score early and build on it. Also need to keep Sinclair quiet if he plays.

Going to start out in a couple of hours but I'm slightly worried as we are completely fogged out here!

Anybody living close to the ground able to let us know what the fog is like down there? Is there a risk of the game not going ahead?

An early goal would be nice - feel we could really add to our surprisingly good goal difference already!

But Spurs being Spurs, I will just be hoping for a win!

Disappointed that he isn't officially in charge until after the game. Was looking forward to Sky's Garde Cam.

I miss the mad starts we used to make when we'd be 2 or 3 up after 20 mins..happened quite a few times in the Jol era
