Davies?!!!. You have a choice of any left back in the EPL and you pick Davies?
Yep, Davies. I personally rate him more highly than rose who huffs and puffs a lot but has very little end product. Davies is defensively much better and can put in a good cross.
Its fair to say that there is a dearth of talent in the LB position when you look across the league. I considered kolarov, blind, azpilicueta and Monreal but in the end stuck to davies cos none of the above options are significantly superior imho

Surprised how many have Kane over Aguero.
Was about to post this.

I'd take Ageuro over Kane in a heartbeat he's the best player i've seen at the lane over the years aside from possibly C.Ronaldo and mabye Gazza back in the day.

Certainly the best striker aside from possibly that french va va voom twat the gooners had and big al.

As I said in my original post if you take emotion out of the equation then Aguero is the first name in the team as he arguably the best player in the league BUT you can't take emotion out of a team selection and I think Kane's connection to Spurs means that for us he is potentially the more effective player.

Mahrez could walk into any first team in the PL in my opinion.
I beg to disagree, works well in a counter attacking Leicester team, not clear he would work as well in a team that dominates possession. Would City pick him ahead of KdB or Sterling ? I doubt it. I also don't think Wenger would pick him ahead of Walcott.

As others have already said, Aguero would walk into any team in the world, he would have to be picked ahead of Kane

Basically what is the best 11 in the league with Spurs tinted specs on. I'd say:

Lloris
Coleman---Toby---Jan---Shaw
Dier---Dembele
Mahrez---Silva/Ozil---Sanchez
Kane
As others have already said, Aguero would walk into any team in the world, he would have to be picked ahead of Kane

But also can't stay fit for a full season.

IMO, Willian just isn't productive enough to be picked ahead of everyone else in the league and I think if there was 1 position you could sacrifice a little bit of work rate for productivity & creativity, it would be the central AM.
I also don't get it with Willian. Mediocre player imo. Good workrate and free kick but he doesn't do much aside from that. Certainly doesn't warrant a spot above players like Ozil, Sanchez, Silva, and Hazard imo.

So many non-Spurs players being picked on reputation, very few being picked on form.

Taking into account my love for Spurs, Poch's tactics, and current form...

Lloris
Smith Alderweireld Vertonghen Kolorov
Dier Drinkwater
Mahrez Lamela Willian
Kane

Initially surprised so many are opting for Dier/Dembele as the two best CMs in the premier league. But then, who has been better this season?

If you are going for a Poch team:

An Attacking mid of:

Willian....Lamela....Sanchez

Would be insane in regards to buying into his philosophy, while also offering a variety of different qualities. The work rate and press would be incessant.

So taking into account both what Poch wants and the value of having people care for the shirt my team would be:

-------------------------Lloris
Azpilicueta-Alderweireld-Kompany-Kolarov
-------------------Dier----Barkley
----Willian---------Lamela-----------Sanchez
------------------------Kane

I think Toby has been fantastic and I love Jan, but I think on form Kompany is still the better defender. He also maintains that Belgian partnership.

Kolarov has a great delivery on him and is very keen to push forward, also clever defensively.
Azpilicueta on his more 'natural side'. I think the full backs both offer more in possession than Walker/Rose. And as the FB is an important outlet in Pochs system they get the nod.

When on form I think Matic and Schneiderlin probably offer more than Dier in defensive midfield, however Dier is young, a fighter, cares for the team and will follow instructions- I'll give him the nod.

Barkley has so much natural ability, I think our manager could mould him into a more complete midfielder. He is young and energetic, think he would fit in. But a lot of work would be needed for him to fit in a CM2

That CAM3, perhaps not the most talented in the league and they may not provide the biggest individual numbers- obviously players such as Silva and unfortunately Ozil are fantastic- but the 3 chosen are Poch players. They would fit his system.

Kane isnt as good as aguero. But he would care more, that goes a long way. He also buys into Poch ethos. Plus, touch wood, he can play more than 3 games in a row,

Was at Christmas lunch with my Scum supporting family (in laws) and they really couldn't believe that I would choose Dembele over the likes of Coquellin or Carzola. I don't think many supporters of other teams realise how good a player he is. He is criminally underrated.

Why would people pick azpilicueta at left back?

Yeah he's done okay filling in there but not a fan of right backs playing left back so would rather keep Rose who is natural on that side lol.
