Some on here are always looking for a 'scapegoat'. So, I see it's Carroll today!!!

He is just about starting to get a run of games in a team which is having a great season. and for me, he is doing very well and he will only get better. Please, lay off his back and support him. Just like Harry Kane, he is also 'one of our own' you know, and when harry started out in our team, so many were also muttering, he will never be good enough, he's so slow, blah, blah...............!!!

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino revealed the biggest sign that his players felt this was two points dropped at Everton.

"Normally we have music in the dressing room," said the Argentine. "We did not after this game because we are disappointed.

"Maybe tomorrow we can feel proud we have a point but now we feel this is two points lost. This is good for the future and I'm really pleased because it shows we have a winning mentality."

Chadli is the opposite of an impact sub. With his physique he should be beasting tired defenders in the last 5 minutes. Looking forward to Njie being available because he definitely would cause problems

Made more passes than anyone on the pitch, kept us ticking over and helped build attacks. I was disappointed not to see Son starting and Alli dropped in alongside Dier but I'm happy to be proved completely wrong. Carroll had a really good game

Son is a Korean Siguardsson. Runs around a lot chasing shadows with the odd goal thrown in.

I think this game is typical of Spurs games under Pochettino - we play really well for 1 half. However the games we start well we always run out of energy after 70 minutes - Arsenal, Newcastle and even ManU. The trouble is when we are dominant we have to score more but we are lacking a really world class player. Having said this I still think this is the best Spurs team I have seen.

I feel for son he started well got injured, now his playing as impact sub physically he got pushed around today but the lad has talent.

I think the game called for a bit of muscle I the middle after 70 min I thought bents would come on to try and make us a bit more physical / energy.

Chadli and son look like they need some Europa starts, we also need a Kane back up.

Anyone else thinking we should swap Son and Christian for a few games, the latter has been a bit off colour recently and Ali is offering more in terms of goals and chances in the 10 role

Thought we played well today unlucky not to be two or three goals up by half time. Always expected Everton to come into it in the 2nd half which they did and in the past we could have lost a game like this so cant be too disappointed with a draw especially as the performance was good.

Good point. Excellent performance all round, both offensively in the first half and hanging in there during the second. Carroll I thought was really good first half but faded understandably in the second when we lost a lot of our shape. Kane looks absolutely fucked predictably, and Toby is a fucking amazing defender. Agree with all that the subs were shite, josh excepted. Chadli is not my favourite player, Son is clearly struggling to adapt to the helter skelter but must be afforded the same adaptation period as others. Phenomenal goal by DA.

We should've won, but could easily have lost. Lady Luck was against us. But this is a good draw and I fancy us to smash Leicester. It's all about keeping a 2 points per game average and if you draw away and win at home it's all good. Obviously was desperate to win but you can't win them all.

Martinez definitely made the better changes in personnel and at the right time. We were hanging on at the end.

Shame after that amazing first half performance. Poch is very conservative in his subs.

Oh I know, and if he were 25 there's no way Chelsea would even be linked with him.

There's no guarantee that a defender at 21 with potential will develop into the finished article. Ferguson thought Phil Jones would become a United legend.

A good point gained. Unfortunate not be 3.

10 points from 12 over Christmas. 3 away fixtures in that time.

The momentum is there and since Newcastle we have been superb. Our league match vs Leicester is massive now. COYS

Phil Jones was constantly played out of position though and never settled in his natural role...also picked up a lot of injuries too.

I think Stones is the real deal personally who is only going to get better.

Was watching the game with a non spurs fan. He said, 'whos this carrol guy? He's class!'.

Genuinely embaressing how quick our own fans are to scapegoat.

Totally agree with this. There have been a few games this year where we've been exceptional for large periods but come away slightly lucky to have even drawn. Need to find a way to put teams away when we are so on top, or a way of maintaining our dominance for 90 mins. If we do, we will become very successful very soon.

Now its time we reduce the deficit with the scum. We have 2 home games and they have 2 away games against Liverpool and Stoke
Very true. Just for us to win both and them lose one would be huge. It's exciting times

It's horrible isn't it, how we get groups of "fans" ganging up on a player and only seeing their faults. We must not let Carroll become the new Jenas - the lightning rod of all criticism.

Maybe we should just re-sign Jenas.
