This is going to be like the previous ones....

Some people are starting to catch on that 17 consecutive windows of no net expenditure is a little bit of a pattern. It's laughable to think we'll panic and pay £25-30m upfront for a mediocre player like Berahino. This new regime is all about strategy and the long term

By the way, the Pritchard loan papers made it to the PL's office on time. WBA said in their statement that he is available for their game vs Swansea tomorrow so I guess he's fit now also.

I have long thought that a lot of fans care more for transfers than they do the actual football.

It's all part of the circus, so I can see why people get sucked up into it. (Not sucked off you dirty cretins) but yeah, some people obsess over it way too much. Nothing beats seeing a Spurs side truly click together on the pitch and pull someone apart.

Yeah that could be true for some.

For me deadline day is all about the banter in here - it just happens to be more banter flowing if we appear to be busy lol.

But all in all its a good sign that we're pretty quiet, it means we're doing well at the end of the day.

Indeed I enjoy the meltdowns on here on each final day but I'm surprised people still get surprised and upset when nothing happens on the final day.
We just never do anything on final day, not for a long time now. We're in big money saving mode

Let's wait till Eriksen breaks his leg, we need a bit of creativity and the posts why the hell did we give WBA Pritchard. All is well and good with Spurs now, but that can change so quickly

Milley do you think we better buy a whole 11+ players just in case any of our main 11 get injured or to tired?

Poch has said all along he will only attempt to buy players that will improve us, if those players are unavailable with the money we can afford to use, what do you expect us to do?

Everyone of us wants to win the League, but none of us want to do a Leeds in trying it

Improving depth is improving the squad. We aren't needing to upgrade Kane, we are needing to provide him a backup. I do think that is more than plausible for a club like us to purchase today. Whether or not it happens, we will see.

I think it is because the transfer window represents hope. Very rarely is a prospective transfer "shit" in the supporters eyes. Only once they actually put on the shirt do they become "not good enough."

On Topic: RE: AtlantaYid's ITK: What does it take for it to be Levy's fault? If the checkbook is open, it isn't Levy's fault. If the checkbook isn't open, it isn't Levy's fault. Apparently, the only way it is his fault is if he loses the checkbook. It is like groundhog day: 4th place, no striker cover, no signings. I hope we aren't bemoaning our lack of action like we do the last two instances. As always, it is the manager's head on the chopping block should we fail.

I thought the prospective transfer of Nelson was "shit"................

Beating a dead horse here, but I am with Poch on this - just bringing in a body, who may not fit in with the culture of the club - will do more long-term harm than any short-term gain.

I said last summer that it is hard finding the right striker who has quality, and is willing to sit behind Kane. Those guys want to play - not ride the bench. We don't need someone coming in here, and then complaining if they do not get enough playing time.

I'd love for us to find the right guy - but Spurs are clearly working on a longer-term vision when it comes to this squad. I trust what they are doing.

My chequebook is open, I want a brand new Bentley but only want to spend 10k....but hey my chequebook is open. The damage was done in the summer not this window. We just need to accept nothing today and move on. #ToDareIsToDo
