I have long thought that a lot of fans care more for transfers than they do the actual football.
"The clock is ticking"
Has Jim White rode in on horseback yet?
This isn't true spies!Levy broke his arm so he can't sign the cheque book which is open in front of him ?
This is going to be like the previous ones....

They are also in the gambling business. Hence a load of non stories about transfers to get people to gamble on it.Their in the entertainment business so have to make stuff up if there is no real news.

Some people are starting to catch on that 17 consecutive windows of no net expenditure is a little bit of a pattern. It's laughable to think we'll panic and pay £25-30m upfront for a mediocre player like Berahino. This new regime is all about strategy and the long term
Yeah that could be true for some.
For me deadline day is all about the banter in here - it just happens to be more banter flowing if we appear to be busy lol.
But all in all its a good sign that we're pretty quiet, it means we're doing well at the end of the day.
Let's wait till Eriksen breaks his leg, we need a bit of creativity and the posts why the hell did we give WBA Pritchard. All is well and good with Spurs now, but that can change so quickly
4pm today i think?Is Poch doing a presser today?
Milley do you think we better buy a whole 11+ players just in case any of our main 11 get injured or to tired?
Poch has said all along he will only attempt to buy players that will improve us, if those players are unavailable with the money we can afford to use, what do you expect us to do?
Everyone of us wants to win the League, but none of us want to do a Leeds in trying it
I think it is because the transfer window represents hope. Very rarely is a prospective transfer "shit" in the supporters eyes. Only once they actually put on the shirt do they become "not good enough."I have long thought that a lot of fans care more for transfers than they do the actual football.

On Topic: RE: AtlantaYid's ITK: What does it take for it to be Levy's fault? If the checkbook is open, it isn't Levy's fault. If the checkbook isn't open, it isn't Levy's fault. Apparently, the only way it is his fault is if he loses the checkbook. It is like groundhog day: 4th place, no striker cover, no signings. I hope we aren't bemoaning our lack of action like we do the last two instances. As always, it is the manager's head on the chopping block should we fail.
Beating a dead horse here, but I am with Poch on this - just bringing in a body, who may not fit in with the culture of the club - will do more long-term harm than any short-term gain.Improving depth is improving the squad. We aren't needing to upgrade Kane, we are needing to provide him a backup. I do think that is more than plausible for a club like us to purchase today. Whether or not it happens, we will see.
