James Morrison , who has been playing behind the striker, is out for a couple of months with a Hamstring injury, so there's space for Pritchard to come straight in if possible.

There have been some rumblings about Pulis (including a "naming no names" Secret Footballer article) being on his way in the summer due to the shit football, perhaps he's trying to sex it up a bit and salvage his job.

We're sending him to Pulis? Poor kid.
My thoughts exactly. Don't see how that can work out for Pritchard. But if he's good enough for Pulis to shove him in despite not being "physical enough", that bodes very well for us.

In one sense I'm happy that if he was to go out on loan, it's to a premier league team. He's simply got too much competition ahead of him right now coming off a long injury.

But on the other hand, he has gone to one of the worst footballing teams in the league playing for a manager that actively supports this kind of football.

Really not sure how this will turn out. Hopefully he gets a chance to show what he can do. Still convinced he will make it in the Spurs first team.

I agree.

On one hand I feel so betrayed because I've been waiting since the summer to see him play for us.

Now if he plays at all I have to watch a West Brom match. wtf

All he'll get from this loan is a sore neck from watching all the long balls sail over his head in midfield!

Better I think to play against Premier League opposition than at a lower level since I think that is what he needs. With any luck he will get fit and gain experience. One thing is that under Pulis he will be expected to work hard and play for the team

I am being optimistic (which I know is a curse) but just maybe he will bring or offer a fresh dimension to WBA. And maybe Pulis knows this. Evolution, as with Hughes and Stoke. It's easy, and sometimes lazy, to slag off opponents.

Hope I'm wrong but this seems like a really pointless move. They don't play the type of football - or any football really - we want Pritchard playing. I have doubts he'll get enough game time as well, players like him are seen as luxuries by people like Pullis.

And we could have had him here for the run in to keep legs fresh. He's a great little player who has as much in his locker as an AM as anyone we have here right now, more than some.

I'll be even more annoyed if we've done this just to sweeten a deal for a striker who doesn't fit our system and is a petulant twit to boot.

correction, I'll be even more annoyed if we've done this and now don't get the striker we've been chasing all season!

I'm not sure Pritchard would have been able to get fit enough for Poch to play him in our team before the end of the season.

It's not an ideal move; let's just hope there's no agreement to sell at the end of the loan.

I'm not sure where you get the idea that he's petulant, I would've been pretty pissed off if I were treated as Saido was in the last transfer window but he's scored goals for WBA this season despite his initial outburst and playing a bit-part role off the bench for the most part. I'll go out on a limb and guess that in a squad with the attitude of ours, we would have no issues with him.

Isn't his lack of physicality one of the biggest doubts about him? Nobody ever doubted his technical ability, but it remained to be seen if he could cope with the physical Premier League.

It isn't the type of team that he'll thrive in, but if he plays regularly for them, it'll take him out of his comfort zone and have him doing a fair bit of graft and defensive work. Adds more strings to his bow when he returns.

He's small but he's not lightweight, his stocky stature and low centre of gravity make him difficult to knock off the ball

If you can cope with the physicality of Championship you'll cope with the EPL.

Looking at West Broms last few games, they use Mclean, Sessognon and Gardner in the attacking 3 positions. Sometimes Morrison or Brunt play. I think Pritchard is better than all 5 of those players and I'll be disappointed if he doesn't work his way into the first team. Still would prefer that he went to a team that try's to play more football but he needs to make the most of it now.
