Poch has done an absolutely awesome job to date with the team, but I just can't seem to get my head around us not being able to find the right striker. If X is highlighted as being the right striker by the commitee then surely they should trust their opinion enough to pay an inflated price/premium to get the man?

We really are playing with fire. Chadli and Son can cover but aren't proven out and out strikers. Not long ago the consensus was to have 3 strikers for a season and we're worried having two will kill the new found love and harmony?

Lots and Ifs and buts I guess but a risky position to find ourselves in when we are in a bloody good position to win it this year.

I think the thing is that if we fall short of finishing top 4 this season you want to be able to say "well we did everything we could and gave it a crack", whereas I think we would all be bemoaning the lack of activity much like the year we signed Saha and Nelson when finishing 3rd was achievable and would have lead to Arsenal getting booted out of the CL instead.

Pritchard on horrible phoneline - basically tagged the usual line, saying how he is happy etc etc. Aim for season - get PL minutes, get couple of goals & lot of assists if possible.

But IF it happens, it will be a deserved criticism. There is no denying that our striker options are too thin. You should've seen what kind of abuse Wenger got in Arsenal forum when Coquelin went down, even though they had Flamini and Arteta as a cover. And they now got Eleny.
