I'm going to say it and thankfully, i've seen one or two others say much the same........ Seeing my team stand up for themselves and actually give it back made a wonderful change from watching us pansy our way through football matches for the past 30 years. I hope it continues, obviously with the required amounts of self restraint and control applied.

Wish i could hit the winner button 10 times to agree even today at work people talking about the brutality of the game at times.
It reminded me of watching football back in the seventies when games turned into running battles, a real throwback to the past.

Poch needs to sit in on that lesson. Mason for Son was not a good change.
On a number of occasions, he has lost his nerve and gone for a defensive option. I was surprised that it was so early that he made the change. I think that we carried the goal threat with Son that Mason showed he didn't have. We need to be able to fall back and not be so open. I'd like a bit more of what Athletico Madrid do.

I agree he has been one of our best players this season I just think he does give the ball away alot at times, and last night I didnt think he had one of his best games, he still did good enough I just thought he was frustrating like alot of our players on the night.

He was lucky to be on the pitch and he gave it away quite a few times as he holds on to the ball too long, most the time it comes off but he does give it away in dangerous areas of the pitch, thats why I prefer it when he playing more forward.
I think he has been better than last season. We probably notice when he gives it away, because it doesn't happen that often. I would also prefer to see him further up as he can take players on and draw people out of position in the process.

Tbf our players don't have the minerals to win the league. Crucial moments missed.

Spam away
Arse at home
Chelsea away

I wonder why the youngest team in the league don't quite have the experience or the mettle sometimes in closing out games, head scratcher that one isn't it.

Sorry, cant see the article but if hes suggesting theres more of a pragmatic, aggressive edge to our game then after the second half last night id find it hard to disagree. 9 yellow cards (could easily have been 4 reds) speaks for itself.

I don't think Lamela was intentional, all the pictures I have seen of the incident show Lamela looking away from fibreglass as he walks by.
He was looking away, but I think it was intentional from the way he moved his right foot. I hope I'm wrong.

Just seen something about a possible points deduction for failing to control our players. Is that possible?

Really poor by us. Got embroiled into play ground antics and it cost us. We have learned a lot these last few weeks though. These last few weeks may win us more trophies than winning it this season

yes, agree but on the flip side we have passion and fight, I think being arsenal would be worse we look like a team who can beat anyone in the league and is starting to believe it and knows if they work hard they stand a good chance of winning, there is a mentality now, however we also have learned we need to keep our composure if we ever want to win that game was crying out for a spurs leader who would calm us down, also we need a player like a Hazzard (last season) or Bale.

I don't care if he meant it or not. Seeing Fabregas squealing like a little bitch was priceless.
Whether it was intentional or not the way Fibreglass dry humped the grass was superb......oh yeah and I was looking for the sniper who downed him he rolled around that much.

I think maybe Mason came on because Poch knew Dembele would be missing the rest of the season and Mason certainly needs to get up to speed.

Stewart Pierce on talksport reckons it was a throw back to thirty or forty years ago, a real London derby where every one of the twenty-two players on the pitch cared and were willing to fight for their result.
Not a bad summary and lets not forget that nobody was injured in a bad foul,
Alan Brazil said something similar, he loved the aggression last night

Looking at some of the comments and remarks on here leads me to believe that the art of conversation by some was learnt on the back of a toilet door.

Unfortunately, the game was passing Son by in the second half. It was as if he was shattered.

Lamela on Fabricad was priceless. He didn't even break stride or give him a glance. Outstanding effort.
