My first post after that utter shambles on Sunday.

If club knew that some player (s) like Rose were boozing & being unprofessional before the game, I would have rather wanted the club to leak the information on eve of the game & still played them.

Leak may have had brought some edge to the players & forced them to come out of their holiday mood & play in the normal way.

I am utterly disgusted if the Rose ITK is true. I don't mind throwing him out & getting someone like Umtiti

I hope, our club refunds the ticket & travel price to the away fans.

I seem to recall Paulinho playing some at the end of last season before he was sold off too. IIRC, he had a run in the side basically from end of March to beginning of May, before being sold. Soldado came off the bench constantly during and including the end of last season, too.
My point is obviously, one can't read too much into Pochettino's squad choices, they don't seem to be specifically good indicators on upcoming transfer activities.

When it comes to CMs last season, I'm still greatly in doubt whether Mason and Bentaleb were picked because they were good in a literal sense or only in a relative sense to other options in the squad. They may have been the best of two evils. (Go on, queue your negative ratings, I really don't care).

No need for negative rating as I agree wholeheartedly. If Pochettino chooses to sell Mason or get in someone new with a view to replacing him, or Bentaleb for that matter, then I'll accept that as I accept that Poch knows better than me.

It's the abuse that individual players receive from fans angry at the teams results that annoys me. Young players learning about all aspects of the game becoming more anxious hearing moans and groans after misplacing a pass it being caught on the ball.

It's as if some people just don't realise that we are trying to achieve success a different way - developing youth and it's potential - rather than buying the finished article.

Being the boss means tough decisions.
All the Mason & Son info is very interesting, but are they top 4 players?
Are Chadli, Caroll, N'jie?

Sometimes I think it's best for all parties to move on.
Mason, Chadli and Caroll need to be improved on for me

All Top 3 players this season!

Poor old Ryan Mason, playing poorly, injured, getting an absolute shoeing on here, could well have lost Poch's trust and to top it off could be going to Bournemouth

He's got 99 problems, but the beach ain't one

If Mason is really injured, one CM position has ruined our season. I hope Alli & Dembele understand how their petulance has cost the team and learn from it.

With Greyfox info - I hope we go for Schneiderlin. Wanyama - a good player but not sure if he is disciplined enough.
Schneiderlin would completely change the dynamics of the squad. We could rest Toby when needed & play Dier at CB - same time, Dier Schneiderlin, Dembele midfield 3 could also be played against continenetal teams & be solid in the CL.

Not sure, if United will sell. But if they are sensible, they will cut their losess & sell him,

Would you have said Danny Drinkwater, Jamie Vardy and Wes Morgan etc were top four quality players before this season?!
I'll be happy with whatever calls Poch makes for the benefit of the squad, to be honest, but this 'improved upon' logic that so many football fans have should have ended in the Fergie years when he was winning titles with the likes of Wes Brown, John O'Shea, Nicky Butt etc...

You are of course correct but I think the difference is they were assumed to be be better than they were because they were part of a winning team...

So the window opens on June 9th, and one snippet of ITK seems to suggest we'll get most of the business done before the Euros, which start a day later.

How much can we do before the window opens? Announce signings and do deals but its not official until the 9th....?

The club would never refund sadly but the players should again it will never happen, but to be fair all the players must have been on the piss which is the only excuse i can find for losing to what is effectivly a championship side.
I say that as someone who only witnessed the car crash of the first half if they players have no belief or effort then why should i.

We can have deals in place to go through when the window opens, but every year we try for early deals I want to actually happen, less talk more action

We announced Sandro and Modric during the season I think. Deals can be confirmed but the player won't move until the transfer window opens.

Edit: too slow!

The window doesn't officially open till 1 July

Dembele can sign a pre-contract on 1 June though

We can sign players any time but contract start dates are 1st July. Remember we signed Modric in April 2008.

I have found Rose's attitude since joining spurs impeccable.

His improvement from a shambles of a left back to the best in the league didn't just happen. He made it so. Poch can only develop a player who wants to work at his game. For me, Rose has on a number of occasions stood out as man of the match, which is very impressive considering his left back position. I recall towards the end of last season, the team slumped during and after 3-0 defeat by UTD but Rose continued to stand out for his effort level and performances. He's the most reliable left back in the league.

Maybe the ITK is true and he made a mistake. I just feel people are taking their frustrations out on a dreadful and embarrassing performance at Newcastle and understandably trying to find a scapegoat. Mason now Rose. Was what Rose did anymore idotic than Dembele scratching at an opponents face? Or Alli throwing his arm at the WBA player? Or even Dier looking to reinact Ron Chopper Harris at Chelsea?

The truth is that everyone, including the manager, made mistakes towards the end of this campaign. If Poch was so angry, I hope he looks at his abysmal tactical switch at 2-1 vs NUFC and also inability to motivate, focus and control the players not just in this game but from second half of West Brom onwards.

Clearly the players got carried away in the hype after the Stoke game and lost concentration, control whatever. It happened on such a level, the manager has take some responsibility because he too on the touchline, looked less controlled than ever.

This isn't a Poch out comment or anything of the sort, just trying to balance out the blame game.

If ITK is true*** , what Rose did was more idiotic & unprofessional than Dembele. What Dembele did was in the heat of the moment, when every players lost their heads. That is pardonable, as long as he doesnt repeat it.

If ITK is true***, Rose is more culpable. He went to Sunderland game & stayed consiously for a after game party & booze. Its not done in heat of the moment. If you want to watch Sunderland, watch them - but he could always said no to partying & be professional.

Townsend roasted Davies on the day & was directly responsible for 2 goals, especially 2nd one. Had we had Rose playing, its different proposition. Not saying Rose could have stopped Townsend but he could have atleast created doubt in Townsend & withhold attacks, fearing Rose pace & power on the wings.

The reason we finished top 4 is because united and chelsea fell off hard
Its never because we deserved to. Never. But as soon the club fuck up, THAT is down to us.

I've always found that very strange.

Now if United & Chelsea hadn't fallen away you'd be sharpening your kebab knife and rushing to apply it to the managers testicles. But how would it be his fault? Its simply that those clubs never fell away.........

Very very strange. I must have taken too many of my pills :(
