After watching Hugo for France, Davies for Wales and our boys for England, I thought every one of them did a good job so far in representing their respective national teams.

I don't think any of them played below par in their 1st game - although its a bad result for England when you consider it was our game to win. But I'm pleased our boys did their nations proud at game 1.

Arguably the Spurs players who have played the worst so far are Kane and Alli...who would have guessed that beforehand!

Thought Dier put in a couple of great tackles too. Walker and Rose played very well. Alli and Kane can play so much better but Kane didn't get very good service. Listening to Dier after the game all I could think if future Spurs and England captain.

Dier was immense, and so comfortable on this stage. Hart and Smalling were massively to blame for their goal; Dier's face at the final whistle said it all.

Kane didn't play well, he's missing Eriksen and Lamela always looking for him.

Alli needs to adapt and be more disciplined in terms of positioning.

I think he's knackered personally. He's played something like 65 plus games this year. Hasn't had a break. If England go far, we are gonna have to give Kane a good rest pre season. Makes his back up even more important

I have an issue with people who say a strikers had a bad game when he hasn't been given one decent chance to feed off. A quiet game is what Kane had, but largely due to the poor performances of Sterling (fuck me truly awful player) and Lallana who imo wasted our two better chances.

A strikers had a bad game if he's not put his chances away.

Just what I was thinking, he looked knackered and not on his usual game. Though despite this I think if he is able to get a goal or two, it might help lift his spirit, and energise him. I definitely think he needs a decent rest after the tournament finishes.

As usual, Dier was important: he did so much protective covering that the players around him were able to be more adventurous. Very often he doesn't even need to touch the ball to make a valuable contribution. He is a wonderful player.

Walker and Rose were marvellous too. And I thought Alli showed some real class in making runs that no one else in the England set-up has been able to do for years.

Kane was a bit disappointing, but he's the sort of player who just keeps on working, and everyone should know that he will score goals and make a nuisance of himself. He's a threat and the opposition always need to devote players to covering him so a bit like Dier, he's an asset even when he seems not to be doing a great deal.

Harry Kane.
Strikers are at the mercy of the service they receive.
Playing with a different set of players to a different system
affects strikers more than any other player.
The Premiership leading scorer taking corners
could have flummoxed him as much as me.
What's that all about?
50 Million pound Sterling can't take corners.
My Gran took the corners for her team FFS
and she only had one leg. Held onto the corner flag when she took 'em

The thing with Kane though, is that I can't think of one moment that he was bad, he literally go no service whatsoever, not to mention the whole taking the corners thing

Davies definitely had the best game out of all the Spurs players - and he was playing as a centre half!

Lloris quality save early on.
Davies quality block early on.
Ex Spur Bale scores wonder free-kick.
Dier scores a thunderbastard of a free-kick.
Ex Spur Modric scores a beautiful volley.

I love our boys old and current. None of our players have suffered defeat yet either.

Thought Dier was very impressive for England with and without the ball. Both the fullbacks as well, not so much Alli and Kane but I think that's more to do with Hodgson. Davies was very good for Wales as well. So far Spurs showing up well even our ex players.
Can't believe all the shit we're (THFC) are getting for England ending up drawing. Blaming the fact we had 5 Spurs players in the team and consequently bottled it ( Spursy)(n)

Lloris, Rose, Vertonghen, Alderweireld, Walker, Dier, Dembele, Eriksen, Alli, Lamela & Kane is a stronger and more balanced team than yesterday's England starting XI of Hart, Cahill, Smalling, Lallana, Rooney & Stirling playing with the 5 Spurs players.

Was the perception really that Ali didn't play well? I'm out here with several non spurs fans and we all thought he played well. Rose walker Ali and Dier shone with Kane average to poor was the consensus, maybe it looked different on TV?
