At this point I'm assuming we're holding this off so that he can be pictures in our new kit. Have to make that kit release special.

I doubt they'd delay a transfer for two weeks for the kit release. He'll probably hold the new training top or last year's kit.

as he can't officially sign till the 1st July, they might decide to let him hold the shirt up on that day, not sure its a good idea to have him holding it why still officially a Southampton player

You can sign a player at any time, you just can't register him until July 1st. Xhaka had pics in an Arsenal kit weeks ago.

We won't announce until the paperwork comes back from the PL. Pictures always get done earlier than that.
