Too much still unknown with him, maybe loan him first instead of selling him and see if he can stay healthy.

This signing screamed opportunistic free transfer rather than a well thought out long term one, I think if he attracts any sort of interest then we'd cash in and take the profit to put towards a starter.

I think he'll have a full pre-season with us and possibly get loaned out towards the end of the window. You never know what other injuries we might get before the start of next season.

Other clubs will not want to gamble on his fitness to give us a decent fee this summer for a permanent transfer IMO.

I liked what I saw from him in his brief cameo.

Unfortunately, that's all we've seen from him.

Maybe he was another trading buy. Cost nothing in a transfer fee and could then be sold for a nice profit but his injuries may have scuppered this.

Maybe it was both.

A player that had already made an impact in the PL, was still young, had a skillset that fit Ange's system perfectly, can play both wings and is on a free, sounds like a no brainer.

Apparently his current injury is on a different leg to the one he had last season, so he could just have been desperately unlucky.

Unlucky perhaps but not surprising. The body tends to subconsciously rely on other parts more than it used to to compensate for a different injury. Weakness in one leg can lead to injury in the other as it’s overloaded trying to make up for the weakness.

I get where you're coming from, but we need to support him, he's still our player and we complain about loyalty. We need to get him back to full health then see where we're at.
I hear you. But from a practical standpoint, roster spots, particularly for non-HG, are valuable. And you need some assurance of player availability. He is now going on 40+ games missed in the last 2 seasons, with injuries to both knees.

I think we get him healed up, and move that risk to another team. If the club are comfortable that he is not a heightened injury risk, then it makes sense to keep him.

Same thing with Sessegnon, albeit he is a HG player.

He was supposed to back in January. Probably, will be better to change the competition to Spain or Italy.

I think players can get injured in any country 😕

He was back in training but suffered a set back. It happens at times to players.

Yes, muscle injuries, due to muscles suddenly being overused or underused/weakened but not cartilage injuries, which is what he has. I read somewhere that the chance of tearing your Meniscus in the opposite knee (to the one previously torn) is a fraction of a %, so it surprising.

I think we’ll probably have to look for a loan for him next season, probably best all round

I’ve been very much in his camp as from what I saw at Fulham I really liked but having read a lot of posts on here and looked at his career stats I’m inclined to agree it’s either cut losses or loan out.
Since he debuted in 2016 he’s played 162 games in eight seasons which equates to twenty games a season, trouble is he’s only played 24 in the last two seasons and only five games for us.
We gave him a five year contract so we are probably looking at a loan back to a Fulham level club next season just to get him some serious game time to prove his fitness, big concern though is would anyone take him?
