CONFIRMED
Why did you put Wanyama's head on Batshuayi's body?

Great addition. We've got serious options now and the most important factor of all, when looking at this signing, is that it enables next to no real drop in quality should we need to rotate or cope with injuries.

Many people in this thread are underestimating the strength in depth this gives us in a season where the demands are higher with Champions league, not to mention the more competitive nature of the PL now as well.

Very pleased with this signing, reminiscent of last year when we realised we needed to start shoring up the defence as a priority first, and then build from there.

Several years ago before a long injury Wanyama was the key player at Southampton; let's hope he becomes that player again, maybe he has but I have not seen him much in the last couple of years

Brilliant signing. I'm very happy with this. I know quite a few are against this signing but I trust poch 100% and feel the lad will only improve his game especially at his age (25 on Saturday) and also play alongside a hungry group of players.

The depth in terms the CDM position is SORTED!!!

Welcome Beastyama :sneaky:

as long as we've also realised we need more than one striker I will be delighted

We're actually starting to strengthen our weak areas with our signings these days. Just a couple more players further forward with a couple out and we're more or less set imo.

can't be more happier than that!

to think that DM position was empty last season.. was always yearning for one experienced head to come in and lead Dier.. who would have known he made that position his own, even in the national team.. and now came a beast in Wanyama who can be there for Dier absence or possibly even playing together to see some of our games through! fantastic news!!

Highly doubt all 3 would play together. Wanyama is cover for Dier.
how would you know poch wouldn't play all three together might work might not , assumption is the mother of all evil and proves nothing, Wanyama is not just cover for Dier he is now at Spurs to train, compete and prove he is good enough to warrant a place in the team the same as any other Spurs player . Oh and by the way Victor welcome to the mighty Spurs.
