Not as long as I've been waiting for Gonzalo Higuaín to join us so that we'd have Dier Gon Alli in the team for the Harry Potter win.

I really need to get a life...

:(
To be fair I'm waiting for us to sign a player called Ed (e.g. Eduardo etc) so that our AM3 can line up as Onomah Ed Son.

I shall also get my coat. :(

Really wasn't expecting an exodus this summer.

Feels like something weird might be going on behind the scenes - whether it's a few incomings or a meltdown I'm not sure....
None of the players that are rumoured to be moved on are a surprised though. What is surprising is how seemingly all of them are going.

Ballsy move, lets hope we can bring in suitable replacements

I think Poch is starting to realize that if he wants the club to actually have some staying power, players that aren't going to make the grade need to be shifted out sooner rather than later. I think you could see this coming since Dortmund last season and it's been pretty obvious the first couple of matches this season. We need more quality in the squad and if we need to raise funds, this is the ruthless way of doing it. It just sucks we are waiting till 48 hours until the end of the window to really start putting big moves into motion.

Wow, and how much was everyone complaining about the players we have sold (or about to) during last season and how we need to give our youth system a chance.
Bit of a false dichotomy.

People complaining about some of the players who are now being sold does not equate to wanting to replace them with unproven youngsters. It's a balance.

Yup and the same is true of the attacking midfielders if N'Jie and Son follow Chadli and Pritchard out the door.

I'm not a Levy hater but it would be a very odd window if we ended up making a profit and saw us relying on the youngsters so much.

Unless that their intention.

We heard the same argument with not bringing in a DM last season and we know what the rationale for that was in the end.

It's about to get real dark in here if some incomings don't seem to be getting closer, soon.
People can't stand Carroll so I very much doubt it! They don't rate Mason either! We always wanted to trim the squad. The majority had Winks in there starting X11 vs Everton!

Mason at 10-12, Carroll at 8?

That leaves our haul at Townsend (12) + Bentaleb (17) + Chadi (13) + Yedlin (5) + Pritchard (8) + Mason (12) + Carroll (8) = That's £75m in outs.

We may often have a 0 net spend, but we've never made a £45m profit! Even with GKN and Lopez we'd still have 20+ to spend.

Hopefully that's Isco money, not Zaha money.

Bentaleb is on loan, Schalke have an option to buy at £17 million.

75m in outs, McKenna, Mitchell, and MacKenzie out. It's certainly a bizarre summer.

Dahlia TV is an Italian pay per view channel (includes some sports channels)

Blue - he's an Italian international or plays for a team in blue????

France play in blue and Sissoko plays for France...
Another one is Brozovic who Inter seem keen to sell.

A fully fit squad and we have a bench of Vorm, Trippier/Davies, Wimmer, Son, Njie, Wanyama/Dembele & Jansen.

A fully fit squad is a pipe dream with the amount of games we have. We should be prepared to have cover as usually 2-5 players will be injured.

Chadli had 2 years on his contract yeah?

So either give him a new one-- not gonna happen-- or sell. No surprises there.

Am surprised we haven't nailed down NKoudou or someone by now though.

As for the rest, fuck it, trim the fat, and get some minutes for Winks, Onomah etc.

Of our list of 24 players who made an appearance in the PL last season, we're down to 20 senior players from last term, 22 with the addition of Wanyama and Janssen. Add in the fact that Mason, Carroll, N'Jie are all rumoured to be off, we are looking slim without any incomings.

NJie is only off if NKoudou is in, so you can call that a wash.

To be honest I think we've had a late change of heart. I know we normally leave it late, as do most Clubs really, but I think a few factors have altered our stance.

Firstly the bigger Clubs have all invested heavily and all have hit the ground running really - immediate impacts, bar the Goons. It's already clear that this season won't be like last, with most of the big Clubs under performing.

And the comments Poch made post Liverpool game are telling. Although Liverpool look shaky at the back their pace and attacking prowess has been extremely evident.

Add all this to our slow and cumbersome sort of start, albeit more in performance than points on the board and I'm not surprised if we're feeling a little apprehensive.

Perhaps we've decided to amp up our attack with more pace/quality if we can shift on a few more than originally planned.
