Yes at the end of the window with 2 hours left....... When he has had since then end of the previous season to try hard. There's trying hard to bring players in and then there's what we do.

I guess had we not sold Chadli/Mason/Bentaleb etc we would be happier as there would be squad depth.

I don't disagree at all.

We'd be better off with either Sissoko or Isco.

We wouldn't be better than the top 4 though. The spending craziness generally this summer has put pay to that.

How about matches between the clubs to see!

The game has changed this year. Everyone has money to spend and are improving their squads. We were ahead of them at the start of the transfer window, but we can't pretend they haven't closed the gap. More Windows like this and who knows what the state of play will be.

How about matches between the clubs to see!

Palace were unlucky to lose - and since then they've signed strikers with proven track records.
Likewise, Everton have strengthened since the opening game.
We haven't.....

But just maybe our manager has more of an insight into our youth team than we do.

If the kids know the way Poch trains and how Poch wants us to play, then for me that's less of a gamble than an Isco who doesn't want to be here, playing half-heartedly for a year whilst on loan.

What annoys me is the assumption that Pochettino is "fuming" about all this - and that he and Levy are very much at odds with one another. I don't get that impression at all.

I was being light-hearted with my FIFA comment.
I've never pinned my hopes on us actually doing big business in the window, it would just be nice for something different every once in a while!

There is taking it with a pinch of salt and there is ignoring it completely because you are annoyed we didn't sign somebody. We are all disappointed and want to get more players in but it is what it is - if a player doesnt want to come there is very little we can do about it - I just get frustrated that instead of being impressed we tried for a player of Isco's stature we rip the club to pieces when it doesnt work out.

Perhaps not 'fuming', but his comments after the Liverpool game did very much suggest that he felt we needed signings in key areas. It's perfectly reasonable to assume he'll be pretty disappointed if we don't make any.
