Amazing atmosphere at the end.

In many ways that game sums up my feelings about Spurs

I hate Spurs
I love Spurs
I hate Spurs
I love Spurs
repeat forever

however today was exceptional - they were so very smug when it was going well and then the wheels well and truly came off :)

Well done to Harry Winks and Danny Rose today I thought both were exceptional.

The moaning and negativity at the lane at times in this match and Leicester were horrible .
We were really turning the screw against west ham but because we were losing all i could hear was moaning about how they wanted it more than us. They were clinging on ffs.

"its papering over the cracks"

Until just now when Mrs A&C got out the shower while I was passing the bathroom and bent over to pick up a towel, I didn't know what this load of codswallop meant :D

3pts off top. Fifth in the league. 12 games unbeaten and i'm astonished that people actually moan about the unbeaten thing. It's genuinely baffling, crap teams don't go 12 games unbeaten. Some people today were actually saying it was a good thing that the run is over, which I struggle to square with the moaning that occurs when we don't win and win by playing swashbucking football.

We've only been playing well in fits and starts and if and when we do start hitting some sort of form, we'll be a serious proposition.

Nobody is suggesting that all is perfect, right now the team is struggling to play consistently to the standard we know they can, but they aren't that far off really and things aren't as bad as people like to make out. This rush to negativity baffles me, its really not as bad as some of you like to make out....

We actually have a very good team.

Hey A and C? This thread is relevant. How come it got locked. Everyone is clocking on to what I said weeks ago...

1: Because you start a thread for every thought that enters your head
2: Cupcakes.
3: Because there's already a Deir thread
4: Because you mostly start these things when they are already being discussed in the match thread
5: Because all of the above means its now policy to lock pretty much any thread you start

Pick one and we'll run with it :D

Yep shearer pretty much says what we know. attacking build up too slow, easy to defend against.
Eriksen and Janssen poor

In fairness to those saying a defeat might actually be a good thing (I wasn't one of them), I think it was in reference to how we seemed to become more focused and less cautious after losing at home to Newcastle last season.

We have looked a little too worried about losing, rather than pushing on to win matches. It wouldn't surprise me if the unbeaten streak is dampening our attacking spirit in some ways.

I'd still prefer us to sort out our problems without losing though.

As usual the voice of reason.

Sadly, also as usual fighting a losing battle.

The first 3 of the 4 consecutive league draws was without our talisman and top scorer. I think that has more to do with why we weren't converting draws in to wins as opposed to anything psychological.

Our next three home games are Swansea, Hull, and Burnley. A real chance to get some wins on the table in time for Christmas.

I wouldn't bother with Eriksen and Janssen anytime soon. useless pair

Son should always play for directness

But really exited about the future prospect of Lamela and winks in the team together, now that's a pair with movement, heart, vison and intelligence

ffs even after a win you can't leave it out..... ?
