If that was the case, then they should have called up someone like Grant Ward to replace Hughes (another who has surely learnt all he can at this level) instead of Onomah.Saying that though you'd think they would want to keep u20s group or main group together as its the world Cup year. And this group have a genuine chance of winning it
I also think, as long as they always have a good number of players the same, it would do them good to rotate some of the other players and give them a go at the level above for a few games, it can help the better players from getting complacent and gives fringe players a chance to get game time.
Also, I have no faith that England won't play a completely different system or line up in the tournament than the year leading up to it, it seems to be the England way.
