We scored the same amount of goals as stoke did against them. I'm happy with the performance overall I just don't think we were amazing going foward and could do better that's all I'm saying.

Fantastic performance tonight. We made a team on the verge of creating history look very very ordinary. That has to be the most relaxed I've ever been watching us against one of our big rivals. Chelsea didn't look like they were ever going to have a shot, let alone score.

Agree. It also allows Eriksen to find more space between the lines and operate more centrally than being stuck on the sides of a front 3.
He's looked very good the times we've played this way.

Yeah but we were never going to slice and dice through Chelsea, the fact we created two sitters which we scored and a couple half chance, while serverally constricting Chelsea is a world class performance, just not what most people think of when they think of wonderful performances.

Take a good look at Kane when Alli scores his goals. They effectively double marked him, meaning that Alli was heading the ball in from within the 12 yard box without a CB in the frame.
Kane's presence alone opens up space for midfielders to run into. Souness called it right, this was not a game for strikers, but where our defenders treated Costa like any other Striker, Chelsea were obviously terrified of him gaining a 1v1.

even the ref had a good match -give him some credit for not dishing out soft yellow cards( I know Dele's was 'soft' but they always get a yellow for that)
