It was painful watching him today. I wanted the lad to do well for us but he looks hopeless.

This is no attempted comment on how he may do at Spurs, but today he was really abject. Did very little right and some things wrong.

I actually think he'll do well for us in the future as he has shown he has talent, but I don't see why criticism of our players should cause so much offence, as long as the criticism is valid.

I didn't want us to buy him in the first place, but since he was signed I've been hoping he at least becomes a decent sub. But I'm starting to lose hope. He doesn't seem to have a single attribute worth noticing.
I honestly believe Shayon Harrison would be of more use to us right now than Janssen

What talent mate? Please explain what Vincent Janssen has shown?? The only thing I see is a battler playing with his back to the goal all the time. The odd occasion doing a berbatov abd throwing his arms in the air in frustration when he doesn't get the ball. He's fucking shite mate.

If he didn't have the record he had last season we wouldn't even give him half a chance. It's like he's a league one player

He shouldnt start anymore this season for us, Vince just has too much working against him. He's an average-above average player (ie. nothing special) with zero confidence, which makes him poor mentally, cant execute, poor decision making and poor anticipation, and to top it off his body isn't in the condition to allow him to compete at this level. Protect him from the scrutiny, just tell him to focus 100% on training and reshaping his body so he is ready for next year.

If he's still poor next year, cut him he's fucking gash!!(y)(y)(y)

I question Poch's decision to hook him so early and so conspicuously, unless there's a fitness issue (which is possible given Janssen's recent lay-off).

But if it was a tactical sub, I don't see how it was helpful to do it that way. Option to bring on two subs at once, or take off someone else first, or leave it another 5 minutes. But first sub on 59 minutes, on his own? Meh.

I think Shearer got it spot on......... He's hiding by going out wide and dropping too deep because his confidence is shot and he's scared to miss a chance. He should stay in the middle because half the time when the ball gets there he's nowhere near it. I think he's possibly more or less done for the season now which is a shame and unless Poch has already decided he's no longer required he maybe try to get in to his head and sort those issues out.

Well, we did win the game after the sub, so I could argue that he prioritized winning above helping Janssen.
With him on the pitch was like playing with 10

You can get away with saying that. Lesser mortals will upset the blood pressure, because we are not allowed to say that.

I think a spell in the PL2 with our youngsters would do him well. His problem seems to be adjusting to the style of english football. He's drifting out wide unnecessarily and is never in the box when balls are delivered.

A few goals and extended run outs would do him well. He really is on his final chance though, because right now he didn't even look up to the standard of the championship

You really can't see the difference in what A&C posted and the comments you come out with such as

"What a loud of blx!!! Our 2nd string just crap"

"All the time in the world for GKN, but no time for Janssen. For any arse licker Janssen fan; do one!...:eek::D"

?

Cut your losses whilst you can, he's woeful. If we are deadly serious about winning the league/cups this season then we MUST bring in a quality striker this month. Javier Hernandez could be available and for as little as 25m euros, he is a proven striker who knows this league, we could do a lot worse.....

In Poch I trust.

I realize it was harsh - but just judging on today's performance, it was not working for him. I can only assume he is also struggling, relatively speaking, in training, as Poch seems to have his mind made up by hooking him before the hour mark.

The problem is that he doesn't look dangerous at all, nothing about his game is worrying the opposition, even championship opposition. He can't run away from any defenders and isn't great in the air, and he doesn't appear to be one of those players that have a knack of being in the right place at the right time either. Going to be difficult for him to make an impact at this level with his skill set.
