It's a shame to watch.

I don't think he's as bad as he looks. He actually started the season quite well, playing particularly well away at Boro. However, it's getting pretty hard to defend.

He's still not scored from open play so increasingly his performances are being put under the spotlight, and boy can he feel that spotlight... He looked a nervous wreck out there today.

I think part of it is that he almost always starts games when we have heavily rotated the team and struggle to stretch teams out wide (look at the difference GK made today) and in the middle basically either have defensive midfielders or cloggers like Sissoko.

But I get that you have to earn your chance and he's just not been good enough.

I am hoping that he gets a few more chances this season in the FA Cup and Europa League, scores some goals and gains some confidence.

Cut your losses whilst you can, he's woeful. If we are deadly serious about winning the league/cups this season then we MUST bring in a quality striker this month. Javier Hernandez could be available and for as little as 25m euros, he is a proven striker who knows this league, we could do a lot worse.....
Hernandez ain't the answer. I've been impressed with Callum Wilson at Bournemouth. Strong, quick and can score goals

Sometimes I wish I can shout at him.... "Get your dam ass in the box"

He is strong on the ball, but doesn't have the quickness or the skill to make that half a yard of space to get the shot off, he needs to gamble a bit more and try to anticipate crosses.

Just think he is trying too hard to link up play, a bit like what soldado did.

What talent mate? Please explain what Vincent Janssen has shown?? The only thing I see is a battler playing with his back to the goal all the time. The odd occasion doing a berbatov abd throwing his arms in the air in frustration when he doesn't get the ball. He's fucking shite mate.
He's a battler because everything he does is a struggle..

Who ever convinced Levy to part with £19m needs to be shot.. Was this one of Mitchell's spots?

Young, top scorer in his first season I think? And Holland international, scoring at that level too.

Tbh I probably would've green lit that purchase too, seemed a decent risk.
Still could pay off in the long run but he's gonna have to do some serious work to be up to the level required

Danny Murphy stated that for every Ruud Van Nistelrooy there is a Rickie Van Wolf Winkel. Janssen is the modern day Van Wolf Winkel

nothing going right for him at the moment. getting yanked at 60 minutes for a midfielder was cruel but the right decision.

As little as £20m? He's nearly 30 and nowhere near what we need.

What a ridiculous post. Who has he wasted millions on?

Janssen for one...he cost the best part of 18 million. Then there was N'Jie, Fazio, and not to mention Stambouli.

He's had a bit of a scattergun approach to say the least. It's fair to say he's been let down by Levy a couple of times with his first choices, but that doesn't excuse signing off on the second choices. He's had the final say on transfers throughout his whole time at the club.

Sure it was a gamble but at the time for that money at his age think it was worth the risk. If he went to West Ham and ended up lookin like a top prospect we'd all be vexed and saying these are the young properties we should go for
