Always willing to give time and support for any or all of our players.
But can't find anything in the article
suggesting he needs to be given a 'couple of seasons'
In fact I'm sure he won 't be by management or fans.
He does work for the team and seems a nice fella
dare I mention Soldado who was the same.
But he needs to produce something, anything
before the end of this season if he is to proceed to the next.
I hope he does for Spurs sake.
Standing still is the new going backwards.

“He was always doing extra things – power training, sprint training, explosive training and, also, practising his finishing to make it easier to stay cool in the box. That was very important because he wanted it so, so much that, sometimes, he was a little bit wild [with his finishing].

“Of course, in England, you look to the goals but Vincent is always important for the team,” Grim says. “I have seen a lot of his games this season and he is giving pressure, running, pushing, always busy. At AZ he scored no goals at first – or only a few – and after the winter break he scored a lot. It will come for him at Tottenham. It will come. I know that, for sure.”

Key points to take from the article. It's very evident that he is trying to hard in part and needs to just settle in. I think he will prove to be one of those players that need the love to perform. I think he is strong enough and has good enough technique to make it. Given time and support I think he will score lots in patches hopefully to back up Kane's consistency.

His former manager and Pochettino felt his opportunity when Kane got injured came a bit too early when he wasn't adapted and I'd agree with that.

He is nothing like Soldado, his hold up play is good, he's stronger and impacts the game more when not scoring. What he hasn't done is been composed enough in front of goal. Soldado played some nice stuff but he didn't hold the ball up well enough and wasn't influencing games with his work rate enough.

When he plays for us it makes me want to get on the pitch put my arm around him and say hey Vince, calm down, everthing will be ok, but you've got to relax man!

He looks so tense, constantly criticising himself, thumping the grass. His muscles must be so tight no wonder he snatches at half chances.

You don't need to get on the pitch to do that. It's amazing what chanting a players name and supporting them can do from the stands. We've had loads of players in our history that play good when the crowd are with them and terrible when we are on their back. I think despite Sissoko's woeful technique I can see him being such a player. He needs some wind in his sales to open that stride up and get him running at people. When he tries to pass and do clever things it inevitably fails. Tottenham's own forest gump

Looks as though this kid is gone come the summer.

Its a shame but it just hasn't worked out for him.

Yep. I want him to succeed and be given time but if he can't even get on the bench for a game we would have actually bought him for them it's a big problem.

Yep, it seems Poch has zero faith in him which is understandable.

I can't see him staying I really can't.

Janssen may have to come in as looks like Kane is injured now!

When ever Poch says we need to assess them, it usually means they are out for 4-6 weeks, or in Lamela case all season!

This season really had been a hard slog wth injuries, but think we are going to be saying lets try again next year soon, lets hope the squad remains together
