What do we think of Lawro's latest prediction. He's got a few right recently but hope he's dead wrong on this one.

Sunderland v Tottenham

Tottenham were given a scare by Wycombe in the FA Cup but then Mauricio Pochettino did make a few changes with this game in mind.

They are on a great run, but I actually think it will be difficult for Spurs to adjust when most of their regulars come back into the team.

Sunderland did not have a game at the weekend so they will be ready for them, and I am going for a bit of a shock result here.

Lawro's prediction: 1-0

Poch should read this out to the lads before the game and once they've stopped pissing themselves I think it might spur them on to our biggest win of the season.

Can't believe he doesn't even have us earning a draw against the bottom side, or even just scoring a goal!

:LOL::LOL::LOL: everyone getting so wound up by this bellend's predictions!!

I don't think we'll lose, but knowing Spurs' propensity to make a pigs ear of 'easy' games this one will probably be no different and bear in mind that we don't usually go rampant up there, how many times have we actually smashed a NE club on their own turf?

It'll be difficult for out players to come back in, but expects his wanker lot to turn up and draw against Chelsea? God, I'd love to stab him with his moustache. Prick!

True and I hate my optimism but we've never had a team this good and probably never faced a worse Sunderland team. Or more specifically there's probably never been a bigger margin in terms of quality between us in recent years. I keep envisioning the game to be similar to that of Stoke away, Watford away and Saints away.

Normally, I would never say anything like that and be so openly optimistic because I would be scared it would jinx us but since I told everyone we would beat Chelsea and we actually did I don't believe in that shit anymore :ROFLMAO:

It's not so much his predictions for us that I mind but his unwaivering belief in his Liverpool team lets him down. He just can't bear to contemplate them losing.

when will this man realise that predictions are made by weighing up the pros and cons to analyse the possible outcome
this man just predicts what he would like the outcome to be

Yup. He thinks they are still the Liverpool of the 80s.

But then he also thinks we are the Spurs of the 90s.

Sunderland didn't play at the weekend, and will be fresh. Majority of Spurs first team didn't play at the weekend and will struggle.

Guy is a parody of himself.

I suppose it would be a bad idea to mention that so far this season he's got our results absolutely spot on. He's got us on 46 points, with 13 wins, 7 draws and two losses, which is exactly what we do have to date.

Obviously he's not got each result right but weirdly he's been pretty close with us. It's just the other teams he's wildly optimistic about (we're still below Leicester in his table).

Anyway...he's a twat.

If it was any other "big" team playing Sunderland tonight you know lawro wouldn't have gone for the upset card.

Christ, if they were playing Watford he wouldn't have gone for this.

I won't get wound up about lawro as I like going under the radar. But you must challenge the level of "pre publishing controls" the BBC has. At somepoint someone must have said, hang on....we can't publish this crap.
