They are the only team in the league to have had any injuries or any players go to the AFCON. Also the referees in the country are all clearly biased against them. It's a joke that they're not where Chelsea are.

I should have phrased that point differently, They don't have enough quality in the starting lineup. I think Mane and Firmino are very good and would like both here at Spurs, I think Coutinho is inconsistent and a bit overrated and Llannananan is a good player as well.

But early season form in down to no Europe. And they were really not as good as everyone believes, excluding Chelsea, They only played 13 games in all comps in Aug/Sep/Oct and averaged 2.3 PPG taking 23/30 PTS. Man City played 17 games and Avg 2.4PPG 24/30 and Arsenal played 15 games and averaged 2.3 23/30. We played 15 games in all comps and averaged 2.0PPG 20/30. Man U played 16 games 1.8PPG 18/30

Table would have been City, Arsenal Liverpool, Tottenham, Utd

In Nov/Dec/Jan they played 19 games in all comps and Avg 1.69PPG 22/39. Man U Played 20 games and avg 2.00PPG 24/36, we played 18 Games and avg 2.07PPG 27/39. Man City 17 Games Played 2.0PPG 20/30. Arsenal 19 games played 1.84PPG 24/39

Tottenham, Utd, City, Arsenal, Liverpool

So not as good we all believe in the first half of the season. So I still believe fifth will be about right for them in the absence of Europe and Cups.

You think that averaging 2.3 PPG in Aug/Sept/Oct equates to them being 'really not as good as everyone believes'? Extrapolated over the course of the season that's 87 points, more than enough to win the title in most seasons.

That form dropped off in Nov/Dec/Jan, fair enough. 1.69 PPG is top 6, rather than top 4 or championship winning form. But, as I've repeatedly stated, that coincided with them losing, at one time or another, 3 of their best players. We agree that they don't have the strength in depth to cope with this and so their form suffered as a consequence. My original points, which I've restated numerous times and now find myself having to restate again, is that with Mane back from ACN, and Coutinho and Matip returning to full match fitness, they represent a clear threat to the top 4. Your PPG stats confirm rather than refute this.

This is what I am trying to say they avg' 2.4PPG in the league while playing only 13 games overall, only Everton in those 3 months played less games than Liverpool [12]. City Avg' 2.4PPG In league while playing four extra games [17] and Arsenal 2.3PPG while playing 2 extra games. In the next 3 months they averaged 1.69 in the league playing 19 games overall, Man U avg' 2.0PPG from 20. Everton again played the least number of games [13] the difference between the two teams currently is 6 points.

If Arsenal and City can play 2 and 4 games more than Liverpool and Avg 2.4 and 2.3 respectively that only makes them the third best team in the league. Chelsea actually averaged 2.5PPG from the same number of league games and played the same number of games as Liverpool overall. That makes then the fourth best team.

If they had to play CL qualifiers like City or CL games like Arsenal and ourselves or Europa League games like United they would probably I suspect been at least 4Pts worse off [if not 6] giving them 1.9PPG in the first 3 months. Avg that out and its around 72Pts for the season. Average the two together and 1.79 over 38 games that is 68Pts. If they were that spectacular in the first three months of the season with all those players available they would still not accumulate the same or less points than City and Arsenal while playing fewer games.

Secondly they have not suffered more injuries in the last last 3 months than anyone else. I double checked Coutinho played October he got injured at the end of November. And Matip, Coutinho, and Mane haven't missed as many games as you would think.

Mane Played all of Nov/Dec and missed mainly Cup games in Jan. Sturridge/Firmino/Wijnaldum/and Lallanna have all been pretty much present in Nov Dec Jan. Only Matip and Coutinho have been out.

They are 14th in the form table for the last 6 games in the league and joint sixth with Arsenal out of the top 7 for form in the last ten games. I would put more weight in what form they are taking into the final 14 games currently than what they did back at the beginning of the season.

I reckon this season you will need more than 70Pts to get top four and I would revise my estimate that they will finish around sixth.

Blimey you lot have a lot of time on your hands. I barely have enough to watch us play twice a month - from the VIP lounge that is my couch.

They are on a bad run but they are going back to 1 game a week as everyone else (apart from Chelsea) are about a to get a lot busier.

Hopefully their bad run will continue for a few more weeks but I expect them to pick up again anytime.

That's incredible, a brilliantly written, brilliantly acted, single camera mockumentary.
They don't even know the players names....haha.

That bit where he reels off 3 names wrongly reminds me of my dad. He still calls Gazza 'Gaza' and can't pronounce the surname of any footballer correctly.
