Are you lot avian a laugh? Let's get this back on track. Had a look at the Burnley site and they reckon that Kane's been carrion the side all season.

somebody got to beak these horrible puns, i just want to apologize that's just bad
Blue Moon on the Danny Rose links, most of them don't deserve Danny and one poster thinks he'd be better if the nastiness was removed from him. What an absolute tosser, the edge danny plays with is what makes him so good.

-If we do sign Rose then we need Zaba to sit him down on his first day and say "Stop being an insufferable little shit and you're gonna be great here".

I mean that. If he cuts out the diving, overacting, snide digs and bad tackles then, in this team, he'll be one of the best LB's in the world. :stop:
I'd prefer any of Bernat, Gaya, Sidibé and Henrichs though among others. And not because I think they're better.

-Would hope we don't splash that sort of fee for rose. Must be a younger, foreign equivalent for a third of that price available.:poop:

-It's just the Mirror putting two and two together. There's absolutely nothing in their article that backs up their claim about Rose. It's just 'Pep wants...' like they know what he wants.

-Rose one good season and its 50m worth a punt for 25m but hey not our money and Rose in our side is a major improvement, my motto is forget how much if a club can afford the fee and a player improves a team its a no brainer of a buy.

-Definitely a major improvement. I would value him at 30m tops. But then add his English-ness and the fact that by buying him we are weakening one of our main rivals, he also just signed a new contract a few months ago. Rose is probably the best left back in the league, would love him here. Imagine Rose, Sane and Silva combing on the left side!!!

-50m I've seen. i can't see spurs selling one of their best players tbh.id much rather we buy bertrand.

-Danny Rose is a fantastic left back, proven Prem experience, fast, decent going forward, shown he can do it in a top side. He'd be an amazing signing and exactly what we need.

Would show the media and their sheeplike followers that we are a bigger club than Spurs as well. :finger: this guy needs to fuck off

-
Rose is 27 in the summer , no way we pay £50m on a 27 year old full back

Would rather we buy shaw !(y) this guy I like a lot more

-
Not since his(shaw) injury. Not been the same player. Glad to hear we have two full backs sorted(Rose and Walker). Been a couple of seasons since we had an overlapping fullback. Cripples the attack if you have a fullback who doesn't have the pace to overlap and of course a killer defensively as well A lot of us (myself included) are all guilty of talking about of other clubs players with a lot of authority and arrogance like we know anything about what is going to happen but this guy just so carelessly throws it out there that it really does my head in

-£50m for Rose would be criminal.

-Walker is overated, hope we avoid him and Rose is a ****, I'd hope we don't spend £50m on him.

-
I hate the "is it your money?" argument, it lacks any logic; fans spend money and generate the viewing figures that allow the club to make the additional revenue it does. It's the equivalent of being unable to moan about the Chancellors budget because it's no longer your money, though you probably feel that it is, because you contribute tax.

He would improve us, but you're comparing him to Gael Clichy. 9/10 left-backs win that comparison now because his best days are behind him. That reason doesn't justify spending £50m.

Equally the club can afford it, but you could afford to wear a new pair of socks everyday. Another reason that doesn't justify spending £50m.

Can you come up with a genuine reason to justify spending £50m on Danny Rose? I really can't see one.

-Best left back in the league this season and Premiership proven!

Also buy someone from Europe with no premier experience is always a gamble, just look at the amount of money we have thrown at new centre backs. Sorry people who throw the Money argument for not buying someone is utter nonsense, I pay £300 for me season ticket and wont the club spent billions if they can afford it! The scum have thrown billions on players for over 30 years and it aint there money its borrowed on there history of the last 25 years. this one guy is too smart for his own good, making city fans look better than what they are

-
Yes, Rose is the best left back in the league, but let's look at his competition, Shaw from Rags, Snake from Dippers, Monreal from Arse and our very own Clichy.
No doubt he is a solid player, but 50 million for a 27 y/o just because he's English doesn't sound smart to me.

Plus I don't the find Premiership experience argument to be that compelling either. We have had players like Bony, Rodwell, Johnson, Sinclair and now Delph that were all premiership proven. Sane was bought from BuLi and he is on par with Raheem if not better even though he has no prior experience of the league. Our best players in the recent past have had no prior experience in premiership either.

So, I think we'll be better off buying two quality fullbacks who understand and fit Pep's system (Bernat, Grimaldo, Henrichs, Gaya etc.)

Having said all that, I am not taking anything away from Rose, he is quality and will definitely improve our defense tenfolds, but at the price quoted, it's a no from me. lol they call milner a snake

-
Spot on, £50m for Rose is a piss take . He's a decent premier league fullback who stands out because of all the dross Left backs in the league:banghead:

-50 million for Rose? I'd rather spend that on Alex Sandro who's the same age and a better player overall.
Hell, I think we can bring 2 quality fullbacks for that price ( Fabinho 30m, Henrichs 20m.....)

HG won't be an issue to Pep, he'll look to bring versatile players as he likes smaller squads.

Your welcome everyone:smug:
