I missed the game. What a win. What changes did poch make? Did we start with 3 at the back or 4 and st HT when he changed the 2 CM's what formation did we switch to?

Funny how he says formations don't matter and it's all attitude when I'm pretty sure Son at LWB lost us the cup semi and his changes at HT today likely won us this game.

That's in its historical context, the modern definition means a significant amount of individuals or a large proportion of.

I know you were trying to be pedantic but please give me some credit, I am not a vacuous buffoon, for the record, here is a picture of one.

The four point gap opened after the first three games. Shame about the suspensions and the hangovers from the Euros that meant our English players took so long to get going. I hope we finally manage to hit the ground running next season instead of the usual slow start.

Poch:
“We know what Arsenal means, this game, for our fans. But we are not thinking about being above Arsenal. Our challenge now is to try and reduce the gap to Chelsea again and think about bigger things than only to be above Arsenal. To win big trophies and achieve big things, your mentality must be bigger than that. You must think about bigger dreams. Big dreams. It’s important to have them.”

I would also like a short explanation on the lineup. More specifically why Dier played in the middle of the three vs Toby?

Any reason for that given?

16th cleansheet in 33 games....Thats nearly 50% of the games. And Lloris hasn't conceded a goal in PL since 19th March

They could have still been playing now and he still wouldn't have had a bloody save to make. Incredible defensive display in the second half.

When Dier was seen in between Toby and Jan, I think we are seeing a back 4, with Dier as one of the CM2 dropping back to form a 3 at the back as and when needed.. That was a norm last season..

Whatever it is, I am quite delighted, and astonished TBH, to see how flexible our players are in changing the formation and roles as required by Poch.. Dier, Eriksen, even to some extent Sissoko.. They just did so well..

Special shout-out to Dier, one cannot just expect a player to fit into any role and play with the guts like he does.. He may not be perfect yet, but I realy do not see anyone in the league as utilitarian as him.. and there are some who want him sold to manure my lord.........
