True but he hasnt been anywhere near his best for at least 7 years. My point was based on GK's that have maintained a high level deep into their late 30's early 40's, not GK's that are just playing on due to a love of the game and are happy to be a 3rd choice somewhere.

He's only 34 ffs, he is a very reliable goalkeeper and I still think we'd be silly to sell him. I was never overly worried when he stepped in for games last season and that tells you all you need to know about his quality. Lopez is an unknown quantity and goalkeeper is always a position you need to be extra careful with in terms of adaptation to a different league.

No we're going to stick with her deputy, she filled in for a while when Doris was back in Sheffield visiting family and although she's slower, her tea was good and she was much more accurate when putting the cup on the saucer than Doris is.

Regarding GF info on player valuations, I dont think we can expect to continue to find the 8-12mill bargains that we have done in the past.
40mill is the new 25mill, so if we dont keep up with player valuation to a point and I dont mean pay silly money, we may get left behind and only pick up the dregs that the other top teams dont want.
I dont think we can live in the past and we need to move with the current valuations, after all we got a shit load of TV money as well.
I dont expect us to shell out 40-50 mill on a house hold name but I also dont see any point is buying some one simply because they are cheap, or a bargain in the current environment. I dont think we can have it both ways.
